Cash leagues
Hi all,
I unfortunately missed out on joining SG's £50 cash league this year, is anyone aware of any similar cash leagues running for this season that are open to join?
Thanks!

Re: Cash leagues
Marcusuk on here runs his yearly game , 20 quid and 5 er goes to charity. He's a top bloke and it's very well organised ( over 100 players a year plus a few ex pro's like Dean Ashton play. . I know there is one on a poker forum that's very well run too. Don't even think you have to be a member ( I signed up to the site last year soley to join it.
I can pass you the details but I'm not putting anyone's address publically without permission

Re: Cash leagues
Yer that's the one I reffered to
A real lack of FPL cash leagues on offer this season, especially on here and this site is usually great for that. Shame Jeff Mcgow left FISO as he was a credit to the site both as a person and an organiser. He did a few last season. Top bloke too

Re: Cash leagues
Ah yes Jeff paid me last season
Sorry he’s gone.
I’m happy to set one up guys (have done a small number on Fiso before) or join one - £25-50 quid, whatever the sweet spot is?

Re: Cash leagues
Happy to take 4-5 new faces into our £20 cash league. We've been running since 2002/03 and usually have @40 players of mixed abilities in it. Winner takes 50% of pot and remainder paid out in decreasing value to 4th or 5th depending on numbers. PM for details.

Re: Cash leagues
I was another who was too late to join SG's £50 league and looking for a cash league to join to keep the interest going for the season.
Ketabank - I think that because I only joined FISO about a week ago I can't send PM yet. Not sure if it works the other way and you are able to PM me?
Would be really keen to join providing you are happy to welcome a newbie.

Re: Cash leagues
Ketabank. I would be keen to join but only joined FISO last week and so it's not letting me send a PM. I missed out on SG's £50 league as well. Not sure if you are able to PM me with the details if you are happy for a newbie to join your league. (Last year was my first year taking it seriously and figure it will be even more fun if a few £ at stake too)

Re: Cash leagues
I've pm Ketabank regarding his league as I'm already in 3 and wishing to join 2 more.
One of the local leagues I'm in is open to new entries at £10 a go, per league. Main FPL league is approx 60% winner, 30% second and 10% third whilst the head to head is winner takes all.
So far 16 entries in main FPL and 10 in h2h.
Interested, pm me.
Thank you

Re: Cash leagues
For the third season in a row I'm running a number of cash leagues over on a poker forum (if any of you know The Dazzler, he used to run them, various FISO members have entered the open leagues over the years). Some are restricted to members only but there are four open leagues that anyone is welcome to join. Last season I paid out around £6K in prizes with no issues.
The four leagues that anyone on FISO is welcome to join are:
1.£25 H2H
Does what it says on the tin.
3. £20 Last Man Standing
The lowest scoring player in the league is eliminated every week until you have the last man standing. The top four spots were paid last year.
2. £100 Classic
Does what it says on the tin.
4. £35 Cups package: There will be a Champions League (£15), an FA Cup (£10), a League Cup (£5) and an Official FPL cup last longer (£5). Last season the winner, runner-up and beaten semi-finalists in each cup comp got paid. The cups are run just like their real-life equivalents. E.g. The Champions League has a group stage and then two-legged knockout games until the final.
If you are interested please PM me and I will send you payment details. I am UK based and I can accept bank transfer or paypal.
This year's thread with last year's payouts at the bottom can be found here: http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=68499.0

Warning - before joining any of these mini-league please read the following post from FISO admin: viewtopic.php?f=106&t=108147#p2710800
If you decide to join a mini-league/ side game/ competition promoted on FISO then you do so at your own risk. Whilst FISO has taken steps to put a Moderator as Chairman of "Official/Main" FISO Leagues, we may not be able to help you should he/she decide not to distribute the prize he/she has won. A mini-league/ side game/ competition set up using the FISO forums is not the responsibility of FISO Ltd or its Director.
If you want to join a non-official mini-league then you should try and put in place some form of written agreement between the participants and the chairman (using real life names) with regard to the distribution of any prize won. This could be based upon a standard syndicate type agreements - showing the membership and how winnings are paid out. These should be signed but at least do an exchange of private messages.
If you do not receive the share of winnings you were expecting then do not blame FISO Ltd. You were warned.
