Apparently neither were Mig's fault this time.
Make that 3. If Mig was in net permanently, I would never consider a triple up!!

Tbf they played in America on Thursday night .......they look like they would rather be anywhere but bloody Scotland playing Napoli

Plus without the front 3 origi keeps losing it and then Trent Arnold is miles out of position virtually all the goals have come from his side .....cos there’s no threat of salah so the right side of Napoli is bombing on

It is a shambles from Liverpool tho

Do the subs mean Wij is back in central 3?

Southampton continued with their 3 CB system today:

Gunn
Valery Vestergaard Yoshida Bednarek Bertrand
Hojbjerg JWP
Adams Redmond
Ings

Won 3-1 against Feyenoord, goals from Adams, Yoshida, Boufal.

Reports says Adams, Bertrand, Redmond played well, Ings very quiet, and they looked wide open at the back.

Just back in training after injury (as is Shaqiri). Going on training camp tomorrow and Klopp hopes they'll get a "couple of minutes" in midweek friendly.

I've definitely got Adams on my radar. 6.0m and I have a feeling he'll be the source of a lot of Southampton's attacking threat. He's scored in I think all of the pre-season games and generally only been playing the first 45 minutes.

Okay I'm sold. Chris Wood is the second coming of Gerd Müller and he'll be in my team come GW1.

Hopefully he's not the second coming of Mauro Boselli.

Always a worry. In fairness, Burnley couldn't have chosen much nicer opponents this evening.

(I'm so, so sorry.)

There are plenty of probable Boselli's, but not him

I am just doing an RMT and Wood was and is in 8-)

In an amazing coincidence, (according to the internet) the name Boselli is derived from the Italian for 'boxwood'! Spooky.

So presumably, chriswood is the same after all, just less of a goal-hanger...

He didn't get on the pitch let alone the box - which is green for MU's Mr Wood

the famous pre season hat trick :D

choo choo

I love the GW1 fixture for Burnley, don't mind GW2 either given the problems Arsenal have at the back.

Wood could be a great early season option.

Chelsea team tonight looks like a possible GW1 starting 11:

Kepa, Azpi, Emerson, Zouma, Luiz, Kovacic, Barkley, Jorghino, Pedro, Abraham, Pulisic

I'm pretty sure Klopp said something to the tune of 'this friendly was arranged basically just for the benefit of the late returning players'.

Not at all. Same XI started 2 matches running in US so are tired. This is everybody else - 5 returners (6 with Larouci) and those like Gomez who have only been subs.

2-1 up at HT. Allison gave away early pen the Firmino equalised. OG for lead.

I was more surprised by Keita "holding" as there are options?

Are you watching it?
