Re: Overlooked players
The one I'm interested in seeing is if Travers (had a great PL debut for Bournemouth against Spurs at the end of the season) will be remaining first choice keeper.
Only 4.5m, same as Boruc and Begovic.
Did concede 3 in the last game of the season at Palace, but the last day of the season is always a bit of a goalfest!

Re: Overlooked players
Unless we get a new keeper I’d expect Boruc to be in the starting XI for the first game. But we also appear to be going for Butland so really difficult to know who first choice will be. Might be one to do after the first WC. Eddie generally doesn’t rotate in GK in the league (though is happy to drop under performing keepers)The Royal BlueNose wrote: ↑08 Jul 2019, 15:27 The one I'm interested in seeing is if Travers (had a great PL debut for Bournemouth against Spurs at the end of the season) will be remaining first choice keeper.

Re: Overlooked players
I've been ignoring Che, Arse and MU as I expect all 3 to be worse than last season. But there could be some value eg Giroud and Rashford because a 7m Fwd at a mid table Club would appeal.
Tbh Sanchez is in my plans as I think he could return to Arse levels if they find buyers for Pog and Lulu.

Giroud is the only if he show he starts. But Chelsea defenders may prove value but like most I guess it will be pool defenders

Iwobi has higher than I would have thought last season with 99 points from 1961 points. Personally I don't rate him but with more mins he could be interesting at 6m?

Antonio
West Ham have a hell of a lot of creativity in midfield , and Antonio you'd have thought would be key to attacking threat considering the pea is a midget

Re: Overlooked players
At £6.5m with 0.6% ownership, what about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain?
Fit enough to be in the Champions League final squad, an easy fixture run to begin with, could he be a good Liverpool asset to start the season with?
Counter arguments would be price, and a preference to use your Liverpool spots elsewhere...

Re: Overlooked players
Is he going to start? If so, he must be worth a look. But the problem as you note is that you can only have 3 from Liverpool and surely the defenders are much better use of that sort of price range.Kevlar wrote: ↑11 Jul 2019, 09:28 At £6.5m with 0.6% ownership, what about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain?

Is Batshuayi actually in the game? Cannot find him, and he scored for Chelsea yesterday, so might he get the start up front?

Re: Overlooked players
Returning Loan players take a while to be added as they are prone to moving and can be priced as per the Club they play for ie he will be more at Chelsea than CP ditto Abrahams...

I had him in my very first draft, but took him out. Also seems WHU fans regard him as a sub rather than a regular starter.Billy Bongo wrote: ↑11 Jul 2019, 06:58 I'm throwing another one in

Liverpool have to many must have players.
You have to have 3 players from Robertson, TAA, VVD, Mane and Salah for me.

Heung-Min Son - assume not getting a mention because suspended for the first 2 games but decent fixtures when he returns.

Without another one I'd say he has to start as Flea is useless as a line striker

Re: Overlooked players
If Mane is out he could be a good pick for GW1, but as soon as he doesn't start I'd rather have Salah, Robertson, TAA and it would then require two transfers. And I think Mane should be back in GW2 at latest. Plus are we totally sure Origi is even going to start if Mane misses out?cymbalrush84 wrote: ↑11 Jul 2019, 18:32 I'll throw one in with these international competitions in mind. Origi, anyone?

Solly March, dirt cheap, attacking player in a side with decent fixtures. If he is nailed he could free up some real budget and be this years breakout star imo

Trossard is a long enough shot as it is, and his record is pretty glowing, albeit in Belgium but I'm gonna stick my neck out for this one.
