it would be hard to play free hit in gw1 ! (i guess you could select the real team you wanted from gw 2 and free hit gw1 but v unlikely)

it is there in the rules though.

Looking at the opening fixtures, tripling up on City and Liverpool looks likely, however, Aguero, Sterling, Laporte, Salah, Mané and Robertson absolutely crushes your budget

Zaha was a forward last year wasnt he? He's a midfielder now
Deulofeu is now a forward
Ritchie a defender
Jota a forward

lazy pricing for Spurs defenders once again

Wasn’t expecting it until end of next week.

Looking at 3 from one and 2 from the other already just to stretch the remaining budget as far as possible. B Silva could be a steal at 8.

I like the look of j. Gomez as a way into the pool defence along with either Robertson or taa

Far too early to go live - game will be full of bugs.

Remember the year they had to give everyone a free wildcard after week 1

That was eight years ago when the game wasn't a big thing. Now it's a massive thing, so I'd be fairly certain they are a way more professional now and wouldn't launch it until everything is ready.

Well, bar a few tweaks on the graphics it doesn't look like anything has changed so you would hope there won't be any issues.

The strikers are going to be difficult, at least initially. Not much value at the cheaper end that I can see on first glance.

Might opt for one premium and bulk up the midfield

Jota, DCL and King, all at 6.5 or under, have all caught my eye as decent value.

I've pencilled in Jota at the moment, but he'll lose points going from a midfielder so I am not supremely confident. I think DCL is a tad overpriced. If he'd come in at 5.5m he may well have got the nod. Of course if he kicks on he will be a bargain (hence his price, I guess) but once again the jury is out. King is probably about the correct price but just doesn't appeal to me. To be honest, I'd rather go two up front but then I want something under £5.5m for my third forward and at that point the pickings seem very thin indeed.

The question I'm sure that is on everyone's minds who hasn't checked yet: how much is Pukki?

Looks like they've changed it so you can't just drag players off your bench and drop them onto the player you want to sub off. Got to manually click the arrows now. :?

Speaking of bugs, has anyone noticed that it's automatically rearranging where your players are positioned in the squad selection screen?

For example, I picked my players starting with the most expensive on the left, and ending with the least expensive on the right. But now when I go back into the Transfers tab, it seems to have pulled all the most expensive players towards the centre of my squad. What the actual "eff", as they say around here. :?

I don't normally play this game, but signed up out of curiosity because it has gone live so early.

One thing that immediately jumped out to me on the squad selection screen is how the eff did Pickford get so close to Alisson and Ederson in points scored last season?!

You get points for saves, so playing for a team with a dreadful defence can be beneficial.

Unfortunately, it's not a bug. It's been mentioned on another thread and basically they have changed it so that the players are ordered alphabetical on their team name which is ridiculous.

Have they got rid of 'drag and drop' functionality on the 'pick your team' bit? If so, why?
