That must mean you've either seen all the Bazza's Special films or none of them, because that's the only way you'd know what the final figure will be ....

OR it's in the middle of a cluster, giving enough latitude either way ...

of the 64 I haven't seen the following

Blazing Saddles
Chariots of Fire
Blade Runner
The Blues Brothers
Schindlers List
The Great Escape
the shining
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Apollo 13
The Good The Bad and The Ugly
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid
thelma and louise
touching the void
The Third Man
Casablanca
citizen Kane
2001: A Space Odyssey

yip I've managed to avoid all these classics!

a grand total of 17 which means that Whatever is our winner with his correct guess of 47. PM me your address so I can send out small token prize :D

Can't believe you haven't seen some of these.

I know I haven't seen all 64, but there really are some brilliant films among your missing list. Oh well, each to their own I suppose.

You've got a lot of great films to look forward to there Barry. But one I wouldn't rush to see is The Shining. I saw it recently for the first time and, apart from one or two flashes of genius, it was a squandering of both directing (Stanley Kubrick) and acting (Jack Nicholson) talent, and a waste of hugely promising source material (the book by Stephen King).

[Minor spoiler alert ...] Someone should do a remake, showing us Jack slowly falling apart in such a way that we understand why he's losing his mind and are convinced by it, rather than suddenly turning him into a cartoon weirdo as Kubrick does. In places it was so corny I found myself laughing out loud when, presumably, I should have been scared.
