Post by Zarch »

Stakesy,

Burnley v West Ham finished 2-1, yet its showing 2-0 in the game.

Problematica technica?

Hi Zarch,

When a player scores who is not yet in the database (Ilan in this case), it registers a goal conceded by Burnley (hence no clean sheet points), but does not register the goal. We have to manually add the goal.... which is happening right now! :D

Cheers,

Stakesy

Up at the business end again I see, Zarch. I wish I knew how you managed it! I have VDS, Evans, Evra, Etherington and I am still only on about £6!

Although I do have a Birmingham defence team down in the depths, i could do with them conceding today as there are a few teams too close to comfort to my top side with 3 of the Brum backline waiting to pounce.

Can't ever recall cheering on Wolves before? LOL.

How do I manage it? Trade secret Jonathan...... if I told you, i'd have to shoot you!

Nice work Wolves...... think I just need my Anelka & Lampard combo to keep Drogs and Malouda at bay to hopefully nick top spot!

I also have a side with 3 Chelsea def/gk, which could nab 80pts if they keep Arsenal out!

Don't know what to cheer for!! :P

Zarch, that is some great record. You don't have to tell me this, so tell me to clear off if being nosy, but how many teams do you enter each week to achieve those rankings?

Only between 6 and 10, depending who I fancy etc Jonathan. I doubt its any more than a lot of people are putting in.

OK. Thanks. Just thinking that it is hardly a state secret considering all I need to do is look for the name Zarch in the league pages  (won't usually have to scroll to p2)!

The most I have entered is 3 in one week. I just struggle too much with more, but I think the trick is to gradually change your selections throughout, rather than go for something completely different in each.

I still wish Stakesy would introduce a one team only league.... :?:

I have a system that I stick to and its not changed much from last season... although the scoring changes did mean subtle changes from last season's Jackpot League victory.

Thought it wasn't going my way after the start of the season as I went through a lean spell from weeks 10-18 which meant I had to drop the £5 league from my dealings, but things have turned round again.... think I know why too, which is good!

7 teams in the money this round..... like I say, can't grumble too much with that return.
