Last Thursday I was up at sunrise to take my wee dog out for his morning walk and this was the scene at the bottom of my garden. I wonder how many spiders it took to create this show.
Have you ever seen anything like this ?

Wow that is pretty impressive paw. It seems to be a bumper year for garden spiders this year. I can't come anywhere close to your display, but I have to pick a route each morning to my pond to feed the fish and try not to end up like an extra from a horror movie by walking into the webs!
I stood for about half-an-hour the other morning watching a spider rebuilding its web. I didn't have the heart to break any down that day so my fish went hungry!

All the big hairy ones will be packing their 'overwinter' bags and heading for your house anytime now!
Do spiders build more webs at this time of year or is it that you can see them because of the morning dew?
