Andy Moores has had a vote of confidence from the board.
Is it the beginning of the end?

Re: Big Balls IV
This game is too random to be throwing ยฃ200 at.
Bring KDB in for Alli who didnโt play as presumed heโd go up 0.2 or 0.3. He actually inexplicably drops 0.2 and despite him scoring highly I lose 0.2m from my team value.
I brought in Keane, Foden, KDB and Son hoping for 0.9m-1.2m rise in the 4 players value and end up with an accumulative 0.2 rise.
Meanwhile the guys that jumped on the good scorers in gw1 get their rises and have far higher team values.
Shite game

Going well so far.....
Lee Thomas takes an early lead..... if he wins this one his family may never need to play again...
meanwhile at the bottom- Yorkies strategy to land the knockout blow early goes awry...

Edit; even worse Iโve now just seen the pen incident involving dier absolute joke of a decision!!! VAR and this new handball rule can do one. Ruining football. P.S I know Iโm not the only one in big balls league with multiple spurs Lloris/defenders (Simon and Lee off the top of my head) so I know my team isnโt the only one effected but 29 points and probably a -0.8 price decrease for my 4 players compared with a +0.7 or so rise had the pen not been given

International Break....
Time to reflect and thank Bruce for playing and sparing my blushes....green shoots of recovery or false dawn?
Andrew Luckhurst takes the lead and we get an insight into the workings of his mind....
Bruce taking his 2 points this week remarkably well
Re the odds:
Ronny has already gone for his customary nose dive down the table
Dot continues to flirt with the odds of him getting covid. Fat cnuts are especially at risk. I forsee an early bath. Anyone who uses the Sun for facts needs sympathy
Backlash must be focusing on fanteam - minus EV indeed in homage to his fantasy hero
Sweeps Whatsapp chelping about the game has continued unabated. This weeks highlight was 'can I move Reece James after chelsea had already played on saturday.....no.... shit game'
weeman has made transfers surprisingly - it can't last
altitude sickness usually affects drdes once europe kicks in

Re: Big Balls IV
Another week passes in the land of the Big Balls - and European games begin to come to the fore....
Lee Thomas retakes top spot with the inspired choice of Lucas Moura - who surely is set for a winter of splinters now the welsh wizard is firing (Bale that is - not Rickyrosa)
Anyway I've taken enough piss out of the top and bottom of the league of late - so lets focus on midtable.
Luckily / predictably Ronny10 resides here now in unlucky 13th and is as easy target..... he has put his faith up top in Aguero - which is a genius move for at least this week before he is injured again.
Looks a nasty one!
Just behind Ron lies Fiso resident epidemiologist Dot - with his new found learning derived from Dan Wooton and Richard Littlejohn. Oblivious to the fact that Covid targets fat old cnuts who socialise in the pub, he also seems oblivious to the fact that VVD 'picked up a knock' at the weekend.
Dot also could be damaging his big ball pedigree after this one....
Most people settling now on a similar core of players - so really down to who rolls the dice best...... injury season seems well and truly upon us - could be bleak in the busy run till new year....

International Break Update
With a leaderboard more fluid than Dots lungs, it is heartening to see pre-season predictions coming true.
Late entry Karma has bitten big time for Gutty who looks tailed off
Outsider odds are becoming justified for the weeman - season long ยฃ200 was never gonna be enough to maintain his interest
Ronny maintains his inexorable plunge down the rankings
Top 5 look clear now - but it was only about 3 weeks ago that Luckhurst was leading - so plenty more swings left in this one
Madchester now planning his assault on the podium
Henke overjoyed that even Lennon has the courage to praise the latest Rangers performance as like celtic he settles in for finishing mid table

Re: Big Balls IV
Well the banter here is phenomenal......
So we move on with a pre Xmas update....
So lets start with some self congratulation and a reminder of some prophetic odds...
At the bottom of the table Weeman is running a race true to form..... not only in being shit ..... but also obviously not using a transfer.... anyone with Willian and Aubamayang in their teams deserves their fate - but lets not discourage him from swelling the coffers in future. Well played sir.
Late entry Karma has bitten Gutty in a big way. Don't say I didnt warn you.
Dot has taken a break from Fiso and seemingly managing his team. Maybe Covid has got him?
In mid table the main mover has been yours truly - after a shocking start and attention on other games quality is starting to tell. There's a fair gap to the breakaway leaders - but could be the one to watch if he can latch on.
CBN also moving up slowly but surely - mirroring his performance with his best team. Leaders will be nervous with him lurking behind.
And at the top the currently correctly titled Champion again.... lets hope he regrets that team name by the end of the season...
Decisive period coming up.... gotta say my focus is on winning sky and fanteam (which to be fair is now an odds on double by my book) - but I'm not gonna give up the prize money easily.... especially given I've spent it on lockdown booze

Right the Xmas write up and a review of the book.....
Newcomer Dtwinner1112 leads the way at what would normally be approaching the turn - just who is this man and does he have the onions to hold on
Stalwart Striker just in behind. Slipstreaming?
Dr Des defies the odds in third but persists with 10 identical teams across the game.
Former winners CBN and Yorkie making progress through the detritus in mid division and could pose a threat come year end?
At the bottom end the first week leader Weeman sits on the devils number and is condemned to damnation for all eternity. Every year he threatens to focus on fantasy football, every year he barely makes a transfer.
Yorkies On Course Bookmakers
Revised Odds for this years runners and riders...
12345678 No TFF this year as poxy ยฃ5k prizes don't interest him. So focusing efforts on this ยฃ2.8k pot instead. Will be thereabouts. 6/1. Drifted in the market 10/1
backlash Last years preseaon affected by holiday. This year he will need to find another excuse. Entry in the fanteam $500 proves he has more money than sense. 18/1 Excuse needed - travelling well in fanteam main game 33/1
billy stark disadvantaged with time zone issue with Scotland being 10 years behind. A former 2nd place finisher in TFF has never made much impression in Sun. He is this years Scott Brown - a legend in his own league but mocked by those who play a standard above pub football. 12/1 Accurately priced at outset - expect a shit or bust move with January transfers
blademan Less of a nearly man than a nowhere even close man of late. First time in blinkers? 14/1 Less said the better - less blinkers more two eyepatches 66/1
cbn Last years self appointed title second favouriteโฆ.. Well for the first week. Won last time the Sun adopted 0.3m price swings. Swinging his thing obviously. 8 /1 Still not ruled out 8/1 a thin price but a Yorkshireman not known for parting with money easily
devilsweep A man of principle. Standing up for the 96. Refusing to enter the Sun game. All thrown to wind as the pot size grew. Has pedigree having finished 2nd and 3rd in TFF. Has been asking me the rules of Sun Dream Team via Whats app as I have been chuckling quietly and relieving him of ยฃ200. Odds on for first blow up over Sun not knowing what they are doing. Long odds to win. 25/1. Still 25/1 but drifting like a barge on the exchanges - has not got his head round the format and continues to denigrate the host
dot Got to be favourite having followed up main gamewin with proving his testicular pedigree at the first time of asking. Main threat for him appears to be Covid. 4/1. Where is the fat fker - has he copped a ban or is he self isolating. Little chance from here 33/1
drdes Out the blocks quick last year with Everton block. Kept it till November which with the benefit of hindsight was a mistake that 95% of the field could see coming. 33/1. Initial price now looks large but I remain unconvinced he will stay the distance - a reticence to change his teams suggests he is stubborn bustard. In to 16/1 which could yet prove value
dreamteamwinner1112 Another dark horse. Recruited partially from the twittersphere it remains to be seen whether he is hit or twit 16/1. Dark horse indeed - steadily made his way to the top and looks in good shape 6/1
ffstuff Shout out to Fat Frank - will have a dummy team full of geordies in just so he can provide live league updates on his site. NUFCwaz may have the same team. FFStuff fantasy empire continues to expand - obviously missing the banter he has made a foolhardy ยฃ50 side bet with Yorkie for respective top dream team. Just one week in - Yorkie is handing him his arse
gutshot Antagonising the Chairman by demanding late entry has hopefully cursed his season. Europa contender. 12/1. Was never going to end well. Karma bites 40/1
Iksh Always participates, never wins. Big balls equivalent of Southampton. 25/1 Southampton looking quite good this year. Iksh isnt. stays at 25/1
leethomas 3rd place finisher last year - cleaned up other Sun cash leagues. Surname always on the leaderboard. Could this be his year? 6/1 A sensitive soul- family digs aside he is demonstrating that Yorkies pricing was on point
madchester utd chief conspiracy theorist. Dream team being run by Illuminati and his use of the former Coventry goalie for tips mean he could be channelling to hit a purple patch. 14/1 The ley lines and ducks are aligning as the tinfoil hatted one has plotted his way quite nicely through the fixtures. A little off the pace but deserves respect 10/1
nufcwaz A dark horse. No known form. Could be a ringer. The fact he supports Newcastle leads me to think he knows little about football. Haddaway and shite man. 16/1 Like newcastle he is finding going at the top tough. Not likely to trouble the European places 22/1
robert wadlow In it to maintain his interest since selling his 3rd Rate mechanism to extract money out people last year. It won't work. Tailed off before Xmas 50 /1 Called it. could have offered 200/1 at outset. He has Aubamayang and Jota in his team still. Nuff said
ronny10 Perennial trier. Will get excited by position at Xmas only for depths of winter to piss on his chips. 12/1 Always next year Ron 25/1
striker Known form over many years he is always been consistent. Unfortunately recent sun form has been consistently poor, but suspect he turns a profit annually from his fantasy exploits. 12/1 Another consistent season - puts himself in contention all the time - a generous 8/1
the bear Googling his team names has been the highlight of many a late night. Not really threatened in recent years and has been usurped in some formats by his son. 20/1 Bruces teams always look shit on paper, this year he is putting that into practice 40/1
yorkshire exile Consistently inconsistent. Big wins followed by years in the wilderness is the standard pattern. Will clean up or fk up 8/1 Got off to a mare of a start, poised for a comeback or simply saving face? Focus very much on fanteam and Sky - with efforts in this purely a function of not liking to give away money. 12/1
zidane Got his money back last year for a 4th place finish. So having another crack. Fluke or genuine form? Needs to back it up. 8/1 Not quite happening for him long way back from current position 16/1

It's gone quiet on here at the business end. Especially from David and Lee in the top 2 spots I just want to say I have not resorted to this silent treatment, but I'll tell you, you can tell them now if you're reading this, we're still fighting for this title, and you've got to go through around ten more gameweeka and get something, and... and... I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it!.

Agreed but wouldn't have been very Keegan-esque if I had mentioned everyone around me!
Normally I've long lost interest by now but looks like a fun run in!

Nobody responded for ages, so I deleted it.
Goodness knows who is going to win this three horse race. What we do know is that it's likely to go all the way to Porto, and could be decided in the last few minutes of that game.

Re: Big Balls IV
Given that you and Lee are coming at me from very different directions, I ignored both of your teams in making my transfers. Iheanacho to Kane had long been planned for this week, Mount seemed the best of an unexciting set of midfielders for KdB who I didn't think would be back before Everton at the earliest as a starter, (that assumption is now looking a bit dodgy) and Trent seemed an obvious pick given his own recent form and Liverpool's promising last three fixtures. Mind you that's not to say that I'm not running scared of BOTH of you. But to think that others might want to copy your team is a bit arrogant.
