Re: THE FISO BIG BALLS £200 ENTRY LEAGUE £4000 to winner currently
If the odds are on past seasonal performances, then i wont be offended if ronny puts me in the relegation zone as rank outsider, especially in this company of entrant. Only claim to fame in the seasonal was briefly leading it last season early on for about 2 days.
Id place my chances at 5000/1 (the same as leicesters pre season odds the season they won it )

Big difference between a single entry league and the main game when in the past you could have hundreds of teams......
That is also without mentioning about wives, girlfriends, budgies that some have employed as extended family fantasy football specialists....
my best was the only year I have played to the end - finished about 200th having gone shit or bust in the last transfer window from about 30th place.... TFF my game really
Nice pot - lets hope for a fair fight

Re: THE FISO BIG BALLS £200 ENTRY LEAGUE £4000 to winner currently
Yep it's going to be a hard one to call with 1 team, as in all similar leagues. Like has been mentioned, judging a player on previous seasons performances in the main game isn't as relative based on the fact they would have had more than 1 team, but even so plenty of players in this league have done well consistently over the years.
Personally I had a top 100 finish in the main game a few years back but generally do better in the shorter competitions but I'm putting this down to the format of the old dreamteam and expect to do better over a season long game on a more regular basis.
Interestingly, I think dreamteam is slowly getting closer to the telegraph game (which I see as the holy grail), it's a game that consistently throws up the same names on the leader board year after year, yes I know there is no limit on teams, but these same names have also done well at other similar games, star, mirror Etc. Dreamteam was always one that stood alone due to the lack of transfers and those same people couldn't be as prominent due to the game format.
Now we have a different game, a game where you can get away with making a few bad picks, players getting injured Etc. 30 transfers over a season is a massive advantage to anyone who takes fantasy football seriously and uses transfers wisely, perhaps not to the same advantage as they are used in the telegraph regards gaining points, but so many dreamteam players basically give up easily, forget to use transfers or just pick a team and leave it, it's to easy in this format for good players to get teams into a decent position to give themselves a chance.
Last season's final tables, main game and lates, was full of known names as I suspected it would be when the new rules came out and I will be very surprised if it's not won by a recognisable name for the foreseeable future.

Re: THE FISO BIG BALLS £200 ENTRY LEAGUE £3000 to winner currently
No I have got the minerals and the means to play.
It's just i try to look at this particular league objectively rather than let my ego take over.
I have a lot of respect for the elite FISO players and the majority of the players in this league are elite players, that coupled with the winner take all pay structure makes it -EV to play.
With that said though, you all know I'm confident in my own abilities to a point in borders on arrogance (and yes I know some think I often cross that line) and always, always, play to win.

Nothing wrong with confidence that borders on arrogance, personally I prefer arrogance that borders on confidence
Anyway, cut the crap. You know temptation will get the better of You, I believe you have my payment options

I can't believe there isn't any sponsorship to boost the winners prize.
Shocking.
