FISO SDT Forum FPL Draft League

Post by CBN »

Don't know how many of you play or follow FPL but this sounds amazing:

https://www.premierleague.com/news/427772?sf96151543=1

Wonder if we could get eight of us regular posters from here in a league? I would be happy to run it if we can get eight.

Entry fee £25.

1st Prize £150 and a priceless amount of kudos
2nd Prize £50

We would hold our live draft at a time we can all make in the week before the season starts - e.g. the evening after the Community Shield.

FISO SDT Forum regulars only.

I've held hundreds of pounds on here over the last few seasons but nonetheless you should familiarise yourself with the standard disclaimer.

Great response, I think we can definitely say this is on!

Once we get to 8 we can agree entry fee.

I'll then ask you all to pick from slots where you can make a good 3 hours available if we need it. 8-)

This should be ace (the game as well as Danny's moaning). :D

Hopefully it'll take an hour or so. If everyone's on it and keeps track of who's been picked and maybe makes a short list before hand. Otherwise we'll get a Skype going and I'll get a crate of beers in the fridge

No problem backlash. I'll be more than happy to help guide the team to victory. :)

PS I've never played in a draft league before so I'll need to do a bit of cribbing up.

Entry closed.

I will mail you all when the game opens next week to give you an anonymous vote on the entry fee (all £5 increments between £25 and £50). I'm happy playing for whatever but don't want anyone to feel pressured to pay more than they are comfortable with. So lowest voted value wins through.

We can then agree the draft night details :D

Same ron, I've looked through the rules and still haven't a scooby.

Why do we have to meet up and have tea and cake for 3 hours? I have a feeling Jeff has taken on more than he bargained for :D

Scrap that I get it now, so its basically like an auction.
i did one of these years ago in a pub where we all take turns choosing a player but the same player can't be picked twice.
We could probably do this via WhatsApp, blademan has started a group.

Yeah Whatsapp sounds great (for real time chat and ridiculing Danny) but unless you're happy loading in your priority order for players then you'll want to be online with everyone else to make each pick in full knowledge of the latest situation wrt to players gone/available.

It shouldn't be hard for us to nail down a time. There's only 8 of us. I assume most do 8-5? Plus it's £20 entry your gonna want to be online for the draft to ensure you get a decent squad.
