Deadline for team entry is 3pm Saturday. I'll be travelling so no reminders on the day I'm afraid.

I just realised first KO is 12:30 Saturday and not 3pm (switched on here - bodes well for the season...) - deadline for entry to the league is therefore 12:30 Saturday (first KO as per the opening post)
I think everyone who's paid is in already, so moot point perhaps?!!

THE TENNER CUP 2021



The FA Cup Third Round draw has been made and marks the start of this season's Tenner Cup competition.
There is a winner takes all prize of £50 for this, so there is something to renew interest for those of us who have lost our way in the league already...


The competition will be played to coincide with the rounds of the actual FA Cup:

First round....... Game week including Sat 9th Jan
Second round.... Game week including Sat 23rd Jan
Third round...... Game week including Sat 10th Feb
Quarter Finals... Game week including Sat 20th March
Semi Finals....... Game week including Sat 17th April
Final............... Game week including Sat 15th May

Unusually, the FA Cup Final takes place before the end of the season - this means we avoid the scenario of having just two teams (max) in the final of the Tenner Cup.
Actual games played the week after the Cup Final count for nowt - unless there's a reply**

All games played (Cup and League) during the above game weeks count towards your score!


Drawn games will go to a replay in the next game week (if still tied, will be decided on goals scored over the two weeks - and then if still tied, by the toss of a coin)
**In this unusual season this means there can be a replay in the Cup Final



As we only have 41 players this season there will be 23 byes in the first round.
Where a bye was drawn against another bye I've had to be creative and have swapped the second bye for the next team drawn - this ensures we will have 32 bonafide teams in Round 2 (last thing we want is a bye getting through to the second round!) Fortunately this only happened in two ties.

Last two drawn were both byes, so I had to go back to the start of the draw until I got to the first tie where two actual teams were drawn against each other - not until the tenth tie did I find one without a bye. Yourself against Scarbob FC our current leader! You both now get a free ride to round 2!
