Boro news
@ fil16:
Tony McMahon is the regular right-back at Middlesbro' and Jon Grounds can play at centre-half or on the left.
Grounds has started in both positions this season but came off the bench midway through Saturday's match when the oft injured left-back, Andrew Taylor, strained ankle ligaments (expected absence several weeks). Grounds began on the left again on Tues.

This Graham fella looks good for you tommy, any sort of comment on how he's playing? Can't really fit him into my team, but not seen Watford play at all this season and he's racking up the points!!

I've only seen highlights, but up until now the main striking responsibilities have been on his shoulders, this may change with Helguson coming in on loan. He looks like a fox in the box to me, and is being supplied well by the premiership youngsters Lansbury and Cleverley, whether they will continue to perform at their current level who knows!thecharltonfan wrote:This Graham fella looks good for you tommy, any sort of comment on how he's playing? Stat of the day...6.02% of teams in this game still have Tommy Smith!
Of less surprise is that 59% of teams hold 4-goal Chopra.

Been well impressed with Graham and Cleverley so far this season, Graham had Ward in his pocket last night (well first half anyway). Just the kind of striker we need at Watford.tommymooney wrote:I've only seen highlights, but up until now the main striking responsibilities have been on his shoulders, this may change with Helguson coming in on loan. Not convinced by Lansbury though.
Started my TFFCH team on the 3rd round of games this season, bit of a late decision to do one, but having these 2 in has helped me up to 1104th place already Not bad for a late starter.

Delighted I had Danny Graham from the start. Currently on 396 points in my single entrant team (position 31) with 3 transfers used and 0.6 in the bank.
Peaked at 10th a few weeks ago so guess only going in one direction now

I disagree Fantasist you sound in excellent shape with only 3 transfers used, I would say the only way is up. A number of those sides above you are artificially high, looking at the starting 11 table will show you that. Additionally with a person only winning one prize your 31st side is more like 15th.

If you're looking at your team history then it is defaulting to weeks 1 to 6. If you put in a 3 in the box above it will show you weeks 3-8.chaser2k4 wrote:no update from midweek games as of yet. they have been updating quite quickly in previous weeks.

Newcastle United have signed French trialist Fabrice Pancrate until the end of the season, with the option to extend the deal.
The 29-year-old winger has been training at the club since his release by Paris Saint Germain in the summer.

Guess who I brought into tonight, after seeing the initial team news...
There's been a late change here for The Magpies with Ryan Taylor forced to pull out of the warm-up because of a calf strain with Marlon Harewood taking his place in the starting line-up. Ryan Donaldson comes in on the bench.

Ryan Taylor and Andy Carroll are both injury doubts ahead of Saturday’s game with Swansea, but Shola Ameobi is being lined up for a return in next month’s home game with Watford after returning to training yesterday.

Improved news on what is becoming a Newcastle thread:
DANNY Simpson and Ryan Taylor are recovering well from the injuries they picked up at Preston on Monday night and boss Chris Hughton is hopeful that the pair will be fit for the weekend visit of Swansea City.
Taylor was seen limping from the warm-up at Deepdale and was forced to withdraw from the starting line-up because of a calf problem.
Simpson, meanwhile, was replaced midway through the second-half after feeling a tightness in his thigh.
But, with Saturday's game against the Welshmen still over 48 hours away, gaffer Hughton is keeping his fingers crossed that they are fit to figure.

The updates to the points can be a bit slow on a Monday morning! Although, I do understand their desire to get the TFF game done first (with 15 times the number of entrants)....there was only one game yesterday!
