Where do Sporting Life dream up their "who is in control" lines?

The last five lines of Plymouth vs Charlton:

90 The referee blows for full time.
90 Charlton are in total control. Key player: Andy Gray
90 Goal scored by Emile Mpenza (Plymouth)
90 Shot by Emile Mpenza (Plymouth) : on target
90 Plymouth substitution: Paul Gallagher injured, replaced by Emile Mpenza

Granted Andy Gray had only just scored from the penalty spot a minute before, but you can't be in total control if you've just let a last minute sub waltz into the box and score ... can you?

Was an interesting match to say the least. Funny how they were singing 2-1 and you f*cked it up, yet 5 mins prior to that they were winning 1-0.. 2-2 is a fair enough result, could have easily been a Charlton win but our defending is a shambles.. Hudson is holding us together, top player. I'll take a draw, onto Brum away. .. Anyone for KP hattrick?

Little bit of team news:

Birmingham right-backs Nicky Hunt and Stuart Parnaby have been declared fit following hamstring problems.

Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally decided to do something about my non-appearing block Palace defence today. Decided Lawrence had to go in favour of McCarthy. Selected the change, went of to check all my other players were playing, sat back and started watching the vidiprinter. Cue immediate delight about 5 past 3.

Half an hour later clicked back on the TFF screen and inconsoleable frustration takes over. I hadn't clicked submit! Kinda releived it isn't going to be a clean sheet as well now.

Well it didn't turn out too badly. First win at Pride Park (sorry Derby fans), and Butterfield comes on for 3 points in injury time (thanks Neil).

Wish I had my wad of transfers left. I'd play the 'transfer in anyone playing Charlton' game.
I'm off to study the League 1 thread.

I hate mis-information!

Last weekend I watched as McCarthy was stretchered off the Selhurst Park pitch, so it was no surprise when he was listed as definitely ruled out on the club site this morning. So, I subbed him out this morning before going out celebrating this afternoon. Imagine my surprise when I get back at 6pm and find that he's out there. Surprise turned to    just after half time - and that's for my own team scoring.

So Bouzza moves away from a relegation scrap to join Brum, how do we think this will affect his appearances? Mcleish has the resources to rest and rotate a little, which Charlton didn't :?

EDIT: especially with Bowyer joining as well..

Not worth a keep IMO, if you watch his shooting back over for us it was abysmal.. his last match for us he simply wouldn't pass, had about 40 shots and still don't shoot.. I mean being greedy's OK if you're good at it.. he's not.

If he doesn't start his next match then get rid IMO.
Sorry to hear that Bram, your Palace block is doing 10x better than if I went for a Charlton one. .. Would i eff.

Another goal for Spring, TheCharltonFan will be happy :) , god knows what he was doing messing about in the lower leagues, was always a good player for Watford in my memory.

Helguson got two so far tonight, might be worth a look in the 2nd half of the season, can score at this level.

Anyone know why Tommy Smith was only given 7pts after last nights game- didn't he make the first goal for Priskin? Seems so from BBC text and radio commentary.

What for? The two extra points they didn't get that would have meant they still finished in third?

The match was actually a 0-0 draw ... and the burger man lives in Croydon as it was a Palace home game.
