Re: Championship in TFF
Just a few thoughts:
Do we think the TFF Championship will need its own sub-forum? (How successful do we expect this version of the game to be?)
Any hints and tips on the best players to pick plus has anyone spotted any stand out enablers or OOP players yet?
Also, is there a Championship injury website anywhere? Otherwise we'll need to create a thread on FISO
Will we be wanting a weekly chit chat thread to keep us focussed throughout the season? I'm happy to write one if others are willing to contribute...

I finally got round to having a look at this this morning and I didn't actually know you got a free team in it.
So I've made a team what I need now is for someone to tell me a decent side and what players to have.

Re: Championship in TFF
Actually read the rules tonight!
Brief summary :
- 40 transfers (thought there may have been more as there are more games played in the Championship)
- Includes FA Cup and end of season play-offs
- All other rules appear to be the same as the Premier League version
There are a lot of weekend followed by mid-week games, teams won't be affected by playing in Europe but Championship teams do enter the EFL cup in the first round. It may be useful to know the televised matches.

Re: Championship in TFF
Birmingham City season ticket holder.......
Even though this could be counter productive for me! In the spirit of fair play I'd point you all in the direction of our full backs. Keita and Nsue. Not expensive, both love getting forward and whipping the crosses in. Both as guaranteed to play as anyone is in these days of big squads. I've got them in all 3 of my teams and it's really freed up extra cash elsewhere. Proper modern wing backs. Nsue always looking to overlap and get forward, Keita a real dasher. Loves a stepover and trick.
Don't say I didn't tell you!

Shame I'm going for a block defence (for ease of management/MOTW chances) and it isn't Birmingham's
Any more tips folks?

Wasn't meant to be a diss of your pick. Was saying he could be a good, differential, enabler if you are right.

Re: Championship in TFF
New to this having played FPL for years. last played TFF for the Premier league over 10 years ago.
I know you can hide your team but I'm surprised I haven't seen a single rate My Team post yet, never mind a thread!
My week 1 team
Bialkowski (Ipswich 3.3)
Kone (Sunderland 4.4) - Chester (Villa 4.2) - Dalsgaard (Brentford 2.1)
Pritchard (Norwich 4.9) - Swift (Reading 5.0) - Canos (Brentford 3.3) - Boyd (Burnley 4.6)
Assombalonga (Forest 7.0) - Hogan (Villa 5.5) - Diedhiou (Bristol City 4.7).
1.0 in the bank.
31 points in week 1 mainly from the Bristol City guy with 10.
Full disclosure I'm a Brentford fan and there are 3 ex Bees in there...Maybe a bit biased.
However I feel Dalsgaard is an absolute bargain at 2.1, an attacking right back who got good reviews and got forward a lot on Saturday despite our 1-0 defeat. should probably have been priced the same as Colin (3.6). He is first choice until further notice. Our defence is unlikely to be watertight but he should certainly get a few goals and assists. Similar story with Henry at left back (2.6) who was a star last season.
Canos was injured but will be back soon. Also looks underpriced.
Any other under priced player tips? Feel they did not do their homework on Brentford, maybe other teams too.
Kone and Boyd in my team due to happy memories from FPL.
Didn't know Pritchard was injured, looks like he could be out for a few weeks yet.

TFF Championship teams
Teams on opening day = 26,468.
Of these, season ticket holders = 5,250.
Overall leader is on 55 points.
But number of entries at end of Week One = 22,402(!).
Used own single team's position on both Overall and Wooden Spoon rankings
https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk ... ip/overall
https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk ... p/overallw
and added them together, subtracting 1:
ie: 20,432 + 6,037 - 1 = 26,468 after Friday's two matches
6,923 + 15,480 - 1 = 22,402 after final fixture on Sunday.
