Teams on opening day = 26,468.
Of these, season ticket holders = 5,250.
Overall leader is on 55 points.

But number of entries at end of Week One = 22,402(!).

Used own single team's position on both Overall and Wooden Spoon rankings
https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk ... ip/overall
https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk ... p/overallw
and added them together, subtracting 1:
ie: 20,432 + 6,037 - 1 = 26,468 after Friday's two matches
6,923 + 15,480 - 1 = 22,402 after final fixture on Sunday.
I'm trying to get my head round this, but the problem might be that they don't seem to giving all teams on the same points the same position. The top 100 page of the wooden spoon league shows 100 different positions but they all have 0 points.

Forgive the newbie question, but where's that? and what will it tell me?

That's right, there are no longer any teams on the same position. It's been the same for a couple of years now. Any teams tied on the same points have the tie break applied to give them a position.

The tie break includes things like yellow cards etc but all teams were separated by position on day 1 (when loads of teams were on zero with nobody having played) the only way of separating them by the rules would have been drawing of lots so how was the position decided at this point ?

Probably ordered by time they were registered.

I looked at that at the time they weren't, only thing I can think of is the drawing of lots is an automatic random draw if all other things are equal.

Just wondering how easy it would be to get the player page to update after midweek fixtures? There was a full set in midweek but the player page is only showing last weekend's scores. Thanks.

That's a good idea. Midweeks are more relevant in the championship. I can't do this week's update now, but I'll bear it in mind for the next midweek set.

Note Championship fixture schedule beyond mid-Sept isn't up to date on Telegraph FF site:
https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk ... /fixtures/

Check Sky Sports or BBC for known TV, etc changes through to Dec:

So, midweek updates have happened since, up to the week before last. A nasty bug threw the last week into confusion at Bramernic Mansion and the championship update suffered. Week 17 (upto last Monday) has now been added. The two Tuesday games which start week 18 will be updated on Tuesday next week after the Monday night fixture. Hopefully this is all clear.
