Guardian - no game 2009/2010

Post by Knulpuk »

Bit of a shame.

Dear Knulpuk,

We've received a number of emails recently asking whether Guardian Fantasy Football will be back for the 2009-10 season. Sadly, due to a number of factors, we've taken the difficult decision that we won't be continuing with this game, but we do intend to be back with something bigger and better for your gaming needs in time for next summer's World Cup jamboree.

First and foremost, we'd like to thank all the people who wheeled and dealed with us last season, around 96,000 of you, many whom kindly found the time in between buying Michael Dawson to give us positive feedback about the game. We haven't taken this decision lightly and hope guardian.co.uk/sport will continue to be your destination of choice for the best in sports news, comment, features and more in the years to come.

Shame they couldn't just have introduced an entry fee. :( Not sure where to focus my attention next season now. :?

yep suits your style of thinking mike

looks like a bad year for fantasy footy games so far, only positive is we get a double whammy with games for the world cup cropping up all over the place as we have qualified  :D

all the best,

andy

I guess so, but I don't imagine that the World Cup prize funds will be spectacular?!
