I really doubt we'll get any draws in this so points scored and conceded will be key to where you get placed in the league. The formula that I've 'borrowed' should work it all out though. That's also why there are home and away fixtures so an away win should put you at an advantage if there's any ties on points alone. Hopefully!!!

To save scrolling back here's the results of week 2 of the cup.
Only 8 teams keep an unbeaten record and another 8 are still to register any points at all.
Every league is following the same pattern so far pointswise for the four teams. 6 - 3 - 3 - 0. Hopefully we will get some more differentiation as we go along.
In the Group of Death Spencer4 keeps up his winning record while our leader Barry has a shocking week but still manages to win his latest fixture.
I'm surprised at the vast difference between the weekly scores... This has resulted in some absolute thrashings and some very close results.
Cheers

How did you get 18-4? Should it not be 16-4? And why did you take such a big points hit...
I've won one and lost two and sitting in 3rd place so you should be happy...
EDIT: Just realised, sorry... You are taking points off the bench not transfer penalties!!!

Re: FISO TFF/FPL Combo Cup
To be honest... I'm not quite sure how the spreadsheet is working out the placings when points are level but according to the bloke that created it, everything should work out by the end of the group stage...
Points scored in away fixtures, points difference etc. will all be taken into account. Even so... I'll go through it all with a calculator at the end. Just in case...
Here's his notes (slightly edited by me to make it relevant to this comp):
If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings:
a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question
b) superior points difference from the group matches played among the teams in question
c) higher number of points scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question
d) superior points difference from all group matches played
e) higher number of points scored

Week 5 update
Overall... things are still very tight but we do now have some differentiation occurring in some of the leagues with one week to go..
Hancockjr, C.Sativa and totempaul are guaranteed a place in the knockout phase so well done guys.
By the same token, unfortunately TheSaint, MattyB, Jester and Anubis are out of the running but their scores in the last week may have a big influence over who goes through above them.
Groups A, B, C and F are still really tight. In my group I'm up against totempaul in the last game so I'm not holding out for a win in that fixture with the way he is playing and I may have to rely on a favorable result in the other game between ethelmoomin and MattyB. C'Mon Matty!!!
The way this has gone it seems to me that you need 4 wins out of 6 to guarantee getting through.
Leagues and fixtures to follow.

OK here's the final update on the group stages... 1st and 2nd in each group go through to the last 16 which I'll announce dates for after the Christmas break.
Two groups have ended with all 4 teams on 9pts and three groups have a tie for second place.
I've checked through how this spreadsheet has worked out the placings and it seems fine to me but if anyone sees any anomalies in the final placings then please let me know, because I want to do the draw for the knockout stage asap.
