Fantasy Prize Wins - your best

Post by murf »

Following Timmsy's fantastic win earning him a house in Spain  , I wondered what the best ever FISO win was and what the best single fantasy wins you lot have all had.

Mine is a £250 TFF MOTW win. One day it will be more....

(PS Didn't have a clue what forum to put this in!)

never won anything on a national level, concentrated on my private leagues over the years and accumulated around £3k to date (this is over a number of years - not in the last few seasons).

would be nice to win something nationally, even a manager of the week or highest climber etc... but i don't gear myself for those - i tend to take a season long approach.

could do better nationally if i was arsed but private leagues is where i'm at.

well done neil,

don't think i'd have got anywhere near challenging you on that one

good to see decent fantasy prizes still existing. must have been worth more than the torygraph ff

my best was £50k i think from sky - think it was times based.

mind you was worth a bit more back then - 12 years ago or summit.

enjoy your prize.

I'm full of sob stories unfortunately,..finished 3rd in the Herald when the prize was only for 1st and then the year later when they went to prizes for 1,2,3, i finish 4th

However,.did finish 3rd in the FISO TFF league last season to scoop £750,..peanuts compared to the elite on here tho

This time next year Rodney,.... :D

100 GBP (in John Lewis vouchers) and a bottle of champagne from the same comp as Timmsy.

Hopefully this comp runs again next year - such a good prize considering there are only 10k entrants.

Seeing as being one point of winning a thousand pounds doesn't count all I have to show is a couple of fifty quids. Which was nice. :)

£10K and £5K, but all spent long ago, and nowt recently. Was leading the OFL Champions League game for a while this year, but going backwards fast. Reasonable chance of a minor prize on OFL Classic this year, but football comps generally been dire. :( Looking forward to the cricket and golf...

Won just over £4,500 last season, mainly consisting of TFF Super League related prize money. Never won anything prior to that (apart from work based competitions) & although I've managed some respectable league positions in a few competitions this season I doubt I'll be collecting any cash this time around...

10k for 1999 Sky Cricket World Cup, thanks to Neil Johnson of Zimbabwe - nothing much this Century though.

Amazing win Timmsy - If your house is anywhere near Valderrama you shouldn't have too much trouble letting it out. I should keep that lucky suit.

19k best success TFF Div1 £5k 2004/05

i know tffo now do a MotM comp, but i can't be asked to do the work thats needed for £250, especially as cost of a team is £10.

Biggest win is £1000 from MOTM in TFF last year which I was delighted with. I assume from the scale of Timmsy's win, he will be the first member of the FISO hall of fame. 8-)

only 100 quid for me back in 2002 i think. TFFO Europe manager of the month.
I think they only ran the comp like that for one season and I remember even being top of the overall TFFO leaderboard for 1 week
Ended up in 78th that season and 74th the next. All gone downhill since

A couple of TFF weeks, one TFFE week and one TFC week.
OFL golf masters winner 2006 - a trip to the Scottish Open with accommodation 8-) - stayed in Drymen which had a small square with 5 bars around it -which was nice

Not my best win in FF, but the one freshest in my mind is having won a trip to a european game 07/08 in last seasons O2 FF comp.

Reason it's freshest is because I'm off to Milan next weekend for the prize, Inter - Fiorentina on sunday night.

The trip may be free, but i think the missus's shopping spree is gonna cost me

Well it was 2.5k in the OFL Champions league last year

Not spotted this before thanks to all the well wishers

However I realise I am a mere boy next to perpetual winners like Andy and I think I've had my lifetimes luck with that win
