Re: Error message
It's really annoying. Problems seem to be bigger this season compared to previous seasons.
I have an email ready with all my changes for tomorrow transfers and decisions about not playing certain players.
Hopefully I do not have to send this mail, but being away tomorrow I soon might have no other option...

Allied with the app apathy, this may be my last season of OFL. They're not cheap and look to have been overtaken by superior technology elsewhere! Shabby!

A few mins ago, another update on Twitter...
Fantasy League @fantasyleague
Email classicsupport@fantasyleague.com with transfers you are attempting to make before the games kick off to ensure you don't miss out.
I just did e-mail them, with explicit supersubs instructions. Good to know they will sort it out but PITA.

I did the same and they didn't change a thing, but send me an email stating I should do it myself.....snout wrote:A few mins ago, another update on Twitter...

Re: Error message
I think that was a stock reply to everyone who had mailed in.
I replied a couple of days later and Ben asked me for the links to my teams and made the changes I had asked for.

Site certainly doesn't seem very robust. Would be nice to be able to rely on it working, but two or three times recently (including right now) I haven't been able to access it.

Re: Error message
Yes come on OFL sort it out. It's one thing accepting changes by email when the site is not working, but I wanted to make a couple of transfers today when the 3pm line-ups are announced. The trouble is, I can't quite remember the £ values of the players I was considering bringing in.
Anyone on FISO got a player list, or a link to one that works?

Re: Error message
How on earth is one supposed to give specific instructions if you don't know exactly your full squad.
The only way to pressurise any fantasy game organiser is for everyone to request that their team is removed from the game and that they receive a full refund. If people don't do this they have no grounds for moaning in the future.

Re: Error message
I wasn't sure about mine because I've entered 2 teams (I am Fresno Bob in the FISO league), but I managed to find out which was which from the Subersubs Confirmation emails I still had on my email system from previous weeks.Striker wrote:How on earth is one supposed to give specific instructions if you don't know exactly your full squad

Re: Error message
Given that we have Liverpool v Everton and Arsenal v Spurs plus the odd player playing tomorrow its 99% that we can have all our players playing this weekend. So I sent an e-mail saying please ensure that all my players are playing this weekend except Villa defenders. If they're on the ball I wouldn't expect a problem, but if I get a muppet response I'll certainly be demanding my money back as they mustn't be allowed to get away with service that would shame Wonga or an electricity provider.roadrunner wrote:I wasn't sure about mine because I've entered 2 teams (I am Fresno Bob in the FISO league), but I managed to find out which was which from the Subersubs Confirmation emails I still had on my email system from previous weeks.Striker wrote:How on earth is one supposed to give specific instructions if you don't know exactly your full squad

Exactly. What really pisses me off isn't the wasted entry fee as lets face it, its still half of b*gger all, but the time that I've wasted on two separate weekends this month.coleridge wrote:The most expensive game to play and it's becoming a shambles.
Once is just about OK. but twice is definitely unacceptable.

Just tried to do a transfer before the Swansea game and the error message is back.
As I am trying to win motm, this could well end up costing me £800.

Re: Error message
As the player I was trying to bring in was Bony this really could cost me a prize.
Does anyone know if they will be able to see if I tried to do this transfer?
I tried four times to do the same transfer on two different computers.

Re: Error message
The best way is to send an email before kick-off. They can perform your transfer afterwards and add points retrospectively.coleridge wrote:As the player I was trying to bring in was Bony this really could cost me a prize.

Re: Error message
Thanks for the reply. I think my chances depend on whether they honour the transfer or not.
I could'nt email them before the game as I was trying to get their site to work, trying different computers etc.
I hope the fact that I posted on here just after the game started will be enough evidence for them to let the transfer go through.
The one thing that is certain is that I would not be in this situation if they sorted their ongoing technical problems.

That's right. I don't know why, but this season is full of technical errors and a website that is down and an Iphone app that's too late.coleridge wrote:Thanks for the reply. I think my chances depend on whether they honour the transfer or not.

A couple of weeks ago the supersub feature was broke again and on Saturday I had to make all my supersubs while being in an amusement park
It's a quite expensive game and all these flaws will make people turn to other games.
You can try to contact Ben Steele (ben.steele@fantasyleague.co.uk ), he normally handles issues like you have.
Fingers crossed for the MotM!

Re: Error message
Thanks for the email address, thats really helpfull.
I did email them in the first half, but have recieved no acknowledgement as of yet which worries me.
I should be 6 points clear at the top so you can see how crucial it is, not to mention the fact I have trashed my best team chasing this.
