Sorry for the dealy but me and Kylie have decided to make this all a bit more special for you by going to Zurich and doing the CL Stylee Cup draw in a UEFA stylee. Yep we have access to their clear plastic balls to draw form (which we will cover in a velvet bag cos we ares till traditionalists at heart).

Some things don't change though as once more Kylie will be drawing the home teams (in her usual professional yet beautiful and sexy way) and we will have a local special guest to draw the away teams - Switzerland's own Heidi!

I have dug out and reposted the convoluted tie-break rules to split bluenoseyparker and bagpuss who managed matching 8-9 scores in both legs meaning identical away goals records. So.... it went to who got most points from the league leader's game. Not suprisingly they both predicted Man U to win but by the wrong score. Down to chelsea and same story. Then Arsenal and same again (apart from they drew). Then Tottenham and they both got 3 points for an exact score. To cut a long story short(er) their points return was identical for the first 9 games looked at! The only differential was the 10th game, Hull v Fulham where bagpuss got his extra point and a place in the draw in Zurich (coming up just before 2)

We have come all this way to Zurich to do everything in a proper UEFA stylee. As you know they waffle on for hours before they actually get round to pulling the balls out. We are just doing that (whilst having the decency not to bore you all senseless by actually broadcasting any of it).

I get the feeling the draw is imminent though, Heidi is having her turn on the podium and has just reminded those present that "the balls will be drawn at random in a free draw so that any participant can draw any opponent"

In the only competitive quarter final, Big Bird is 3-1 up in the 2nd leg and therefore 11-10 up overall. We have bothgone for 2-0 wins for Man United so I only have 2 games to turn it around.

The first Semi seems to be a cagey affair. Both teams are underperforming due to the pressure of the occasion. derbynige has a 2-1 lead (neither of us have Spurs winning either)
