murf's Premiership Predictions Knockout Cup 14-15*UNDER WAY*

MURF'S PREMIERSHIP PREDICTIONS KNOCKOUT CUP 2014-15

The second of this season's individual cups is now upon us :D

To enter - you need to sign up for the Knockout Cup 2014-15 minileague:

You'll need to go to the FISO Goals site section of FISO:
- click the 'fiso Games' logo/link at the top of most pages.
- select FISO Goals
- Click 'My Mini Leagues' on the left of the new page
- enter the following into the 'Join a Mini League' boxes:
League ID = 36
Password = knockered

- click the box marked 'Join'

I'm sure it won't happen but if we get over 64 by Saturday 18 October 12:45 (kick off of next game from now when I'm typing) then we'll have a first knockout between the lowest scorers (e.g. if 70 entries, then 58 top scores get byes and remaining 12 play knockout for 6 remaining spots)

If we don't get to 64 by 18th then entry will be strictly limited to 64 on a 'first come, first served' basis

If we don't get 64 by the next week then the highest (season) scores after the Set 8 games get the byes. Byes will only be awarded to people entering the minileague before midnight on Monday 20th.

DEADLINES
1) Saturday 18th October 12:45 (if we get over 64 entrants)
2) As soon as we get to 64 entrants (if after Sat 12:45)
3) Monday 20th October, Midnight (if you want a bye)
4) FRIDAY 24th OCTOBER, MIDNIGHT (last entries if we haven't got to 64 by then)
EXTENDED - MIDNIGHT 31st OCTOBER (or when we get to 32)

You won't have to do anything extra to participate in this cup other than enter as explained above and then do your regular 'FISO Goals' Premiership Predictions for the league.

HOW IT WORKS

This and my other cups are effectively informal/unofficial side competitions run by me using scores in the formal/official FISO Goals competition (which has replaced the superior informal/semi-official Premiership Predictions comps run by me and thelip in the olden days).

All ties will be knockout over two legs, home and away. Away goals counts if there is a tie and then usual tie-breakers.

SHE'S BACK :D - Other than the byes for the first round, all draws will be totally random using the e-blackbag with Kylie and one other special (but not as special as Kylie) guests doing the draw each week as per previous seasons.

SETS/DATES
Set 8 18-20 October, Preliminary Round (NOT required)
Sets 9/10 (25-27 October), Round 1 - Last 64 - NOT REQUIRED

Sets 10/11, Round 2 - Last 32 (from November 1st)
Sets 12/13, Round 3 - Last 16
Sets 14/15, QFs
Sets 16/17, SFs
Sets 18/19, Final

25 entered so far, the only ones eligible for automatic byes:

1 69 Rob
2 66 Lucky7s
3 65 robot
4 64 topspur
5 58 forestfan
5 58 murf
7 57 Ralfbergs
7 57 Spinynorman
9 56 Mick MacPaddywack
9 56 Rookster
11 55 steve foster
12 54 Moist von Lipwig
12 54 toffeelover
12 54 reds363
15 53 BOLTONBOY
16 52 morganb
17 48 yorkshiredragon
17 48 DrBunker
17 48 Malrom
20 46 Minitoff
20 46 Big Bird
20 46 eagle224
20 46 BigJonS
24 43 Surprised
25 7 Mark Addicted Kenny

Depending on how many entrants we get by saturday there will be enough byes so that we get 32 through the round. Whatever happend there will be no more entries after saturday.

If we get less than 32 then there will be some double byes!

If we get exactly 32 then everyone gets a bye.

If we get 33-38 then there will be random byes amongst the latecomers

If we get exactly 39 the above will all get byes and the 14 late comers will play off for the remaining spots.

If we get at least 40 then only the highest scorers above will get byes.

BUMP - still only 25 entries

If we don't get over 32 then there will be no action this weekend but THE DEADLINE TO ENTER THE COMP REMAINS FIXED AT SATURDAY 12:45

If we remain under 32 then the draw for the last 32 will include a small number of byes based on the scores AFTER this weekend (only the 25 entered by the original deadline are eligible for these byes)

Opening post says last 32 takes place on sets 11/12 which means Nov 8th. Or are you moving it forward so we're not here twiddling our thumbs for too long?

Due to this cock up and recent (very late!) interest, I will reset the password and reopen entry until Friday night (or we get to 32) and then do the draw ready to start on saturday.

Password = knockered
- click the box marked 'Join'

PS week 9 scores all updated and I win the weekly prize 8-)
