Re: Rate my overhaul team
Aguero to Aubameyang, but not sure when yet. It could be that i start with him instead of Aguero to save a transfer and take my chances that Aguero sucks away from home like last season but that Norwich fixture has a 40pointer for a Man City player written all over it.

Thinking no arsenal to start myself and use a few transfers when needed

Thinking eff Arsenal altogether actually. Really don't like them when both Lacazette and Auba start.
Prefer Laca over Auba personally but think Auba is favoured and less of an injury worry...

Can I ask why you’ve done a overhaul already prior to the IB?

Because the fixtures don't change. I'll obviously have to tinker a bit if there are injuries but what i dont want to do is a last minute rush

Schmeichel
Van Dijk, Guilbert, Zinchenko,
KDB, Maddison, Mount, Mcginn,
Kane, Salah, Sterling.
This is my current team subject to change due to injuries on international duty.
How long is Jesus out for? My query is whether its worth trying to get get Aguero involved, also considering Harry Wilson in place of Mount to get me an extra captain.
My other consideration is as follow, concerned whether Pukki will carry on the form so learning towards the first team.
Pickford,
Van Dijk, Maguire, Zinchenko,
KDB, Wilson, Mount, Mcginn,
Kane, Salah, Pukki.

Re: Rate my overhaul team
If you go with that first team you'll have no captain for the first Sunday, unless of course you're planning an early transfer.
Pep said before the weekend that Jesus was "much better" and that he expected him to be available for the Norwich game.
There's nothing wrong with Pukki as a pick. The only problem is that so many of the top players are now classified as strikers, so he takes up a slot that you might otherwise want for one of the big guns.

Like the look of that first team... perhaps with a Sunday captain instead of McginnCheltenhamff wrote:Schmeichel

Re: Rate my overhaul team
I'm not sure about Pukki. If you're not going to captain him he's taking the spot of a 3rd striker who you could captain when the other ones have harder fixtures. Otherwise you'll be burning transfers chasing captains or playing weak captains.

Stones
Digne
Zinchenko
Ward Prowse
Maddison
McGinn

That's my overhaul team for my lowest rated team.
Taking insurance just in case Aguero gets a hat-trick by starting him, but not as captain and i'll swap to Aubameyang Sunday.

Re: Rate my overhaul team
Well there's no point going with Adrian, the midfield are all crap, can only really go with one striker or options are limited. All that leaves are defenders and Liverpool dont have the best fixtures and havent been that sound at the back and the prices are sky high for them. For me makes sense to avoid them at the moment.

Me too. VVD was the top points scorer in the whole game last season. Granted, Liverpool may not keep quite as many clean sheets this time around, but there are other means by which he'll continue to score points so, even at that price, I still think he's worth it.

Re: Rate my overhaul team
I may well bring in VVD later but for the time being with the fixtures coming up i think i can do better with a City defender.
If in a few weeks Stones is out of the team and McGinn turns into a 2pts a matchday player then i can have VVD and downgrade McGinn or something along those lines.
VVD was top points scorer last season however that doesn't take into account captaincy. So my team last season he'd probably have been about 4th or 5th highest scorer as i rarely captain defenders.

I'd much rather captain Salah v Newcastle than VVD.
I'm much better at picking goalscorers than teams that can get clean sheets.

Re: Rate my overhaul team
Despite the initial frustration for owners of Liverpool defenders when Newcastle scored, the bonus/attacking returns made up for it again. Robertson 8, TAA 7, Matip 7, VVD 5 - it's practically the same scores you would see when a lesser defence keeps a clean sheet.
One person's garbage is another's treasure I guess!

But aren't bonuses and around 50% clean sheets priced into their value? So if they get the bonuses but not the clean sheets then it's not enough?Johnners wrote: ↑15 Sep 2019, 18:03Despite the initial frustration for owners of Liverpool defenders when Newcastle scored, the bonus/attacking returns made up for it again. Re: Rate my overhaul team
I went cheaper premium defs based on upcoming fixtures. Going 3 up front makes money very tight and unfortunately wanted KDB and Pepe when i probably should have had a midfield of enablers.
