Re: FISO ISO 2019/2020
If it was me up a mountain pondering and whatnot, I'd be struggling to think what I'd learned from the internationals. No injuries to worry about (unless I missed something), KDB is a good player, Sterling is a good player. Be cautious about picking Scottish players?

Re: FISO ISO 2019/2020
With time moving on I guess we should probably countenance the thought that Nbbbee may never return from the mountain with tablets of stone .
Given such an eventuality what do people think ? A free for all (like a bar room brawl) ?

Re: FISO ISO 2019/2020
I'll start an ISO - other team - overhaul thread.
We can all post our other teams - the Info is there if for Nibbbeeee if he comes down the mountain otherwise we can start brawling in a day or 2.

*** pasted from other thread ***
Ok, so given its late Thurs I’ll make a call. The spirit of ISO is to start with the same side, it’s half the fun and differentiates ISO from a standard mini league. In the absence of Nbbeee on here (and liking of Adrian), as current chip leader I’m going to start with the side below. Please join me if you wish
However, this is Nbbeee’s right to pick, so should he appear and decides otherwise tonight, lets go with his choice instead.
Either way the side is finalised tonight. Sound fair?
I’ve based the side below on a safe back 5 from strong sides and full of bonus (I just don’t fancy Zinchenko now with Mendy close). A budget midfield with bags of potential (Wilson/Mount bagged almost 30 champ goals between them last season). Plus the big 3 up top, all with a 50 pointer around the corner at some point.
Ederson
Otamendi
VVD
Digne
Soyuncu
Lanzini (capt Mon)
H Wilson
Mount
Salah (capt Sat)
Sterling
Auba (capt Sun)
0.2 spare.

Yep good call giving Nbbbee a bit of extra time.
Given the circumstances I don't think anyone should be penalised for going with their own team , but I will certainly be going with your team should Nbbbee fail to show

Re: FISO ISO 2019/2020
Sounds sensible, NM, and thanks for taking the initiative. Odd that Nbbeee has been tweaking his team, but not been on here. I'll set my team up tomorrow morning - either with the NM stand-in team as per above, or Nbbeee's if he does post. Hopefully all this not too late for other managers. Clearly preferable for us to set up a common team as per the rules, but can't be helped if it doesn't work out.
(For future seasons, I recommended in an earlier post that the previous season's winner only select the opening squad, and not the overhaul one as well and I know we are reviewing potential rule changes for future seasons in due course.)

Re: FISO ISO 2019/2020
Sorry for the delay I was waiting for the latest time possible to check injury news etc before finalising the team just in case Allison is due to return
This is the update on Allison
Sept 10: "He's been working in the gym [and] out on the pitch doing some catching/footwork. It needs time, we cannot look too far ahead."
No return date but doesn’t sound too far off. I had given consideration to Adrian in goal but this is likely to necessitate another transfer on a goalkeeper soon.
For the final line up will go with the followIng,
1. Ederson 7.9
2. Robertson 10.2
3. Digne 8.6
4. Soyuncu 6.2
5. KDB 11.2
6. Pepe 9.8 ( captain Sunday )
7. James Ward Prowse 7.8
8. McGinn 7.4 ( captain Monday )
9. Cantwell 5.8
10. Kane 12
11. Salah ( captain Saturday ) 12.2
Total is 99.1, 0.9 in the bank for transfers
3-5-2, means team can be adjusted to 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 with single transfer
Ward Prowse gives a Captain option for the Friday night game on 20th.
Also players scheduled to play on all game days until November, so possible captains without making a transfer until then
I did consider Pope instead of Ederson this would leave 2.3 in the bank, not sure I have much faith in the City defence without Laporte
Aguero / Sterling also considered instead of Kane but Kane’s fixtures appeal, given City’s record against Watford and Norwich away who leak goals but never quite know what Pep will do and Gabriel Jesus is back, also feel City will prioritise the Champions League so rotation likely
In terms of the midfield I haven’t gone with Mount as Hudson-Odoi is due back soon, against Liverpool they may tighten up and select Kovacic with Kante and Jorginho so could be rotation. I think the only viable Chelsea attacking option will be Abraham but wanted coverage for the Friday fixture
Harry Wilson is a player I like but not certain of his position some times used as a wing back
Pepe from Arsenal as Aubameyang is often played on the wing, Pepe also a winger but almost 2 million cheaper

Re: FISO ISO 2019/2020
Doh. Yep - zero in the bank.
It’s the other version which has 0.2. Same players except Lanzini/Wilson/Auba vs Fraser/Pepe/Haller. I actually favour the latter, but the consensus on here for Auba won that one.
Edit - even better here’s Nbbeee with Pepe
All change folks. Knew he’d come good

Yep, seconded. Nbbbee just teasing us.
Will set my team as per Nbbbee's selection, and hope most others of us manage to do so before the deadline (any point someone PM-ing everyone? Would do so myself but tech incompetent). Remember we need to keep the team unch until after the AVL v WHU game on Monday.

4 down for me, but a 75 point gain over Rodduz and 57 ahead in the tenner league. I’ll take that

Sorry to all!!
I had other urgent things to do and completely forgot about it.
I didn't even change my captains.
I only have to blame myself!
But it would be nice, if some could send me a PM next time. Thank you!!!
