I did eventually but that was for last season. I'm hoping we get two teams again because i want one based on the VAR effect and that will be without premium defenders.

My captain for the first match of the season will be whoever is on penalties.

Beware the VAR effect. There was only La Liga were penalty numbers increased following the introduction of VAR. VAR also has the effect of not giving penalties currently incorrectly awarded besides those penalties that should have been awarded but were not.

The research I have seen though were Season figures. Would be interested to see if the VAR effect is high at the Season start and decreases as the Season progresses.

Also if your going for the Liverpool penalty taker is it not Milner (If he starts)

My research showed VAR increased penalties in Italy in the first few matches. Everything depends on pricing of players though. But if sky base it around previous seasons performances i can see drop offs with points for premium defenders. All these minnows that go to the top 6 clubs and get nailed on penalties turned down can at least put a stop to the the premium defenders getting a clean sheet bonus. I can't see premium defenders getting as many points as last season so unless they are cheaper then my number 1 team won't have them in it to start with.

Far too early to look at captains for me which is why i just put a random name out there, but yes based on the strategy i want to start with Milner would be my captain.

That's why i'm looking at Pickford in goal for my team. If there is an increase in penalties then most goalkeepers are looking at a lower points tally than last season unless they save a few pens.
