News of fixture schedule

Post by SamD »

Live TV Premier League changes for April are filtering through (for info, two days earlier than announcement in 2011).

Two examples of Sky Sports games:
  • Gunners home to current table topping City = Easter Sunday 8 April, 4pm (originally Sat 7 April)
London derby - Gunners home to AVB's (current) side = Sat 21 April, 12.45pm (originally 3.00pm)
Also changed but not for live TV:
  • Wolves v Gunners, Wed 11 April, 7.45pm (originally Easter Mon 9 April)
Full list of fixture moves will appear here in due course:

I presume it is OK to properly list the "fixtures" that do not have dates (i.e. postponements) as there is no actual fixture list that is copyrighted?

Thinking of -
Merseyside derby (was this weekend)
Matches on Cup QF weekend

Wigan v West Brom
They have picked Newcastle vs Norwich

Just having a look at the fixtures from now until the end of the season and there would seem to be a bit of a headache coming up if Chelsea stay in the FA Cup and Chelsea/City stay in Europe. When exactly would they be able to play their fixture which will need to be postponed from 6th round weekend (assuming Chelsea beat Birmingham of course)?

The only available midweeks would be Wed 21 March (unless an FA Cup replay is required) or Wed 9 May which also happens to be the date of the Europa League final!

Would be ok as long as Chelsea don't reach the FA Cup final. Further complicated by the Manchester derby being on the previous Monday.

The BBC Match of the Day Team must be crying in their new Manchester Studios

Assuming their Swansea game gets moved the last time Man United will have played
a League Game Home or Away on a Saturday is 14 January !!!!

Every other game from then for the rest of the season has been moved

So we wait all week to see if Stoke have to play on Sunday

and then after they get knocked out, ITV decide to pick them on....

And why cant they tell us the times of the other 2 Games

Why do we have to get drip fed information by the FA ???

Just tell us all at Once

Not sure if I have missed it… any news on the rearranged Merseyside derby yet?

Was being touted as possibly 21/22 March.
Presumably 21st is out of the question now, so 22nd a given?

It depends on Man City v Chelsea

IF Chelsea win Replay, AND play Leicester on the Saturday 17th

THEN
Man City v Chelsea could be on Weds 21st

Sky will want to show both matches

Confirmed. Live on Sky

The midweek before the QFs so maybe a nice bonus game chance in some games (TFF).
