The only exceptions will be if an English club is involved in the Europa League final the following Wednesday and would prefer to play on the Saturday, and if Sky choose to show a top-flight match in the Saturday lunchtime slot - the Premier League would be contractually obliged to agree to that.
Here is the First to NOT move

And Arsenal’s match with Norwich City – the final game of the season at Emirates Stadium - will now be played at the earlier time of 12.45pm on Saturday 5 May.

All Premier League fixtures scheduled for that Saturday afternoon have been moved to avoid a clash with the FA Cup Final, which kicks-off later that day at Wembley Stadium, with many postponed to Sunday 6 May. London Underground upgrading works have rendered a Sunday match in north London unfeasible though, meaning Arsenal and Norwich City will meet at Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime instead.

Not sure if this one has been spotted before...

Newcastle vs City is now a day later, on Sunday May 6th at 2pm to avoid a clash with the Cup Final on the Saturday.

Is it possible that sky did it to get round the rules of showing all teams a certain number of times or get an extra tv game?

They can now say to whoever regulates it that they had a bolton tv game scheduled but it was postponed, and now they get to pick another game and will prob have the option of the rearranged game as well

I guess they might be doing this to get around the rules about picking games a minimum number of weeks in advance? Eight weeks ahead they're not sure what game might be relevant/interesting/meaningful, so they pick a random match that's highly likely to be postponed, then pick a more interesting game when their first pick is postponed four weeks ahead, with extra knowledge of what teams are left in title/relegation battles etc.

We have today received confirmation from the Premier League that Arsenal’s fixture with Wigan Athletic will now be played on Monday April 16 2012, kickoff 8pm.

The Premier League match, which was originally scheduled for Saturday April 14, has been postponed due to rearranged TV selections – the result of cup commitments of teams elsewhere in the division. Full details of the revised fixture are below:

Arsenal v Wigan Athletic
Monday April 16 2012
Kick Off 8.00pm (originally April 14 at 3pm)
Emirates Stadium

Finally a switch that makes sense

Arsenal playing at home the same weekend as Wembley Semi Finals just should not happen !!!

I wonder if sky will show the refixed game between Bolton and Tottenham or leave it so they end up having 7 games to show over the last two weekends.

Dont forget Cup Final is a Bank Holiday weekend

and then the 2 Finalists will have to move their game to midweek (Strong chance of Liverpool v Chelsea being one of them )

So they could easily show seven games over the period Sat 5th to Sun 13th

Dont be surprised to see one on Thursday 10th as the Europa League final may have alot of viewers the day before

I have to say UEFA's rules are silly. What happens if any of this weekends cup games need replays. The only two European free midweeks are 20th/21st March and 10th/11th April before semi finals on 14th/15th April. But there are league games scheduled for those two midweeks. Unless league games are cancelled (where they will struggle to find a European free midweek date until the end of the season), then there are no options but to play at same times as European games.

Will is what happens when:

A) The CL Round of 16 is extended over four weeks.

B) The Europa League is a round too long.

C) There continues to be needlessly anchronistic replays in the FA Cup.

1 Instigated by TV who at the time we had 4 teams in the last 16 didnt want 2 playing on the same night

2 Simple solution, stop letting in all the Champions League Dropouts and you can have a Last 16 in Feb rather than Last 32

3 I agree only for Rounds 5 and 6, Rounds 3 and 4 give the smaller clubs a chance of a money spinning replay and also there is no UEFA Competition at this time

The semis should be arranged so Liverpool play on Sat 14th to avoid the Hillsbrough anniversary.

Chelsea game therefore gets Sunday slot.

Cant argue with that

Obviously Liverpool and Everton/or Sunderland fans getting home from Wembley rather than Old Trafford
is another story,,,
