Does that exclude the last weekend's fixtures which presumably are chosen at pretty short notice given everyone is kicking off at the same time already?Judio wrote:Top secret source Sam ???

So Sky must have picked Man U 3 times
Meaning they have ALL 4 Man U games in May

Yes because Sky will choose Man U's last game(5 out of 5)Darbyand wrote:

They will announce as late as possible even waiting for the last weeks games
The worst thing about the last day is it will hinder an English club in the Champions League Final (Having to play Sunday at 4pm three days before Final)
I bet If Barcelona make it they will play the Friday night beforehand

If Manchester United get through to the Champion's League semi-finals will the game against Middlesbrough on May 3 be moved back to the Saturday?

Sun <-> Sat
This is from Man Utd site:
... the Reds' first match to be affected by Sky Sports' selections is the away trip to Middlesbrough.
Originally scheduled for Saturday 2 May, the game will now be played on Sunday 3 May at 16:00 BST.
However, should United reach the Champions League semi-final stage, this game will revert to 12:45 BST on Saturday 2 May.
If so, guess the Sunderland - Everton tie currently scheduled for Sat lunchtime Sky TV coverage will be moved to Sun?

Re: 2008-09 Fixture Changes Thread
Why do Sky and Setanta keep doing this... arranging live games that might have to be switched back depending on european fixtures (especially when they have a spare Saturday slot!)... this never was allowed to happen in past seasons so why has it gone on so much this year?

Re: 2008-09 Fixture Changes Thread
It all started with Setanta
It is because of the number of second Choice games the TV Companies have
(Each TV Package is 23 games which include X 1st Choice, Y 2nd Choice etc etc)
Sky are desperate to keep as many big games
Setanta are obsessed with showing a Big 4 Club (even it is at home to West Brom)

But will Sunderland v Everton move back to the Sunday at 16:00 ???
This is from the Sunderland Website so it sounds likely
Saturday 2nd May 2009. Kick Off 12:45
Please note change of fixture. This game is subject to further change.

Sky have 3 games to pick, Setanta have 1
It remains to see if Setanta are left with a 2nd , 3rd or 4th Choice Pick
Hull v Man U
Villa v Newcastle
Sunderland v Chelsea
West Ham v Boro
(if any one picks Liverpool v Spurs )

Re: 2008-09 Fixture Changes Thread
If Setanta only have 4th choice and Sky pick the obvious 3 then Setanta may be tempted by the lure of Liverpool (and Spurs) fans over the probably highly irrelevant West Ham v Boro.Judio wrote:Sky have 3 games to pick, Setanta have 1

If Sky have 4th choice then I'm sure they'll want 3 relegation matches so they can package it that way.
