Liverpool and Everton changes accoring to the local paper (not confirmed): http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500 ... _page.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

LIVERPOOL’S opening match of the 2007/08 season is set for a tea-time kick-off.

Sky and Setanta have yet to formally announce their fixtures for the new campaign, but the Echo has learned that Setanta are set to select Liverpool’s clash at Sunderland for their first Saturday night screening.

That match will kick-off at 5.15pm, with Everton’s home match against Portsmouth on August 30 getting the same treatment.

Everton and Liverpool are both set to figure five times apiece on Sky before December 1, with the first derby match being switched to a 12.45pm kick-off on Saturday, September 27, Liverpool’s home clash with Manchester United also put back to a Saturday 12.45pm slot and the visit of United to Goodison Park provisionally pencilled in for a 2pm Sunday kick-off on October 26.

Sky and Setanta are expected to confirm the dates next week.

These fixtures are not confirmed

There has been an unofficial list circulating around
since July 1st

However(apart from Setanta getting Manchester Derby) it
looks very believable

We are all fed up waiting for Sky and Setanta playing their guessing games

The fixtures came out three weeks ago

How hard is it to pick games for TV !!!!

From LFC website:

Monday, December 1. West Ham United (H) 8pm. Live on Setanta.

In the event of either Liverpool or West Ham being involved in the fifth round of the League Cup then this game will revert back to Saturday, November 29 - kick-off to be confirmed.

Surely that is highly likely? Setanta games being cancelled yet again.......

One to keep an eye out for...

Of course, none of us should be discusssing this since... according to this "No part of the Fixtures Lists may be reproduced stored or transmitted in any form without the prior written permission of Football DataCo Limited."

Let me daring and risk the wrath of DataCo. What would happen if I wrote: Manchester City v Everton

Whoa! Excuse my illegal typing. Since "No part of the Fixtures Lists may be reproduced stored or transmitted in any form without the prior written permission of Football DataCo Limited", I must be breaking the law by using those words.

How about... "Arse" ? That forms part of the word "Arsenal", which is a part of the fixture list and therefore I just gone and broke the law again. Dog-gammit!

How about the letter "v"? That appears ten times in every matchday fixture list so I'm breaking the law thirteen times with just one letter (ten shortened "versus"es and three clubs with the letter "v" in them! Oscar Wilde would be proud!

Is there a chance that Hull v Chelsea on the 28th October might be put back to the 29th as Chelsea's fixture with Liverpool is on TV on Sunday 26th?

I have had a quick look at the fixtures and it seems there are loads which will probably be moved due to UEFA Cup games

Please correct me if I am wrong but

Villa v City (16/8)
Sun v City (30/8)
Chavski v Villa (4/10)
City v Pool (4/10)

all look likely to be moved to Sundays

and if (I know it's a big if in Everton's case  ) Everton , City , Pompey and Spurs make it through to the UEFA Cup group stage then all their fixtures on Saturday 25th October will be moved to the Sunday , meaning also Everton's and City's games on Tuesday 28th would have to move to the Wednesday

Looking further ahead 4 games on 8th November and 3 on the 29th November could potentially be moved resulting in Saturdays with only a handful of games

Man City and Aston Villa have not yet qualified for the UEFA Cup 1st Round

Also during the group stage each club has a week free so they might not have to move all games on Oct 25th

By a remarkable coincidence the fixture calendar happened to
produce a match between the only 2 clubs invloved in the UEFA Cup
qualifying

As a result the opening Match of the season between
Aston Villa and Man City will now move to Sunday 17th Aug at 1500

...creating a 2-for-0 (not for TFF purposes as the transfer window isn't yet open) for Villa over West Ham and Wigan to go along with that for Newcastle.

Look, see
Sunderland's home game against Manchester City later this month has been put back a day due to City's involvement in the UEFA Cup. SAFC are required to move the fixture on the instructions of the Premier League. The game will now take place on Sunday August 31 (kick off 3pm).

No changes to EPL games as yet but this could throw up a few anomalies later down the road...
City will avoid fixture congestion in the last week of August with the news that our Carling Cup second round tie will now take place in late September.

The Blues have not been given a bye into the third round of the competition, being the ninth English side to qualify for Europe via the Fair Play League, and could have faced the prospect of a Carling Cup tie in the same week as the away trip to FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Cup on Thursday, August 28th. However the football authorities have agreed with the Club that our Carling Cup second round tie can take place in the week of the rest of the Carling Cup third round ties, which begins on Monday September 22nd. The draw for round two is made on August 13th.
