DO NOT COPY FIXTURE LISTS ONTO FISO
Dataco think they own a copyright which may prevent non-licenced sites quoting their fixtures.
You can link to other websites publishing the fixtures who have a Dataco licence such as the BBC.

Leagues meet match
The Premier League and Football League have suffered a major financial setback with their joint venture company, Football DataCo, forbidden from charging media outlets, bookmakers and pools firms for publishing their fixtures.
The Appeals Court upheld the European Court verdict of March 1 that DataCo, which also involves the Scottish leagues, did not have the right to charge copyright fees for fixtures.
The decision, which will deny the football bodies hundreds of thousands of pounds, also ordered that any fixture fees paid since March be refunded as well as DataCo paying both sides legal costs of around £1.7million.

only other thread I've found on the subject (in the last week) is

The details of the decision don't appear to have been published yet but DataCo have an acknowledgement on their site under Stop Press - 12th November 2012 on their home page.RomynPG wrote:... doesn't seem as clear cut ... maybe the Mail is mis-understanding something..

Admins call now. Best not to put fixture lists on FISO until admin gives the all clear and then we can throw rotten eggs at Dataco

Re: DO NOT COPY FIXTURE LISTS ON TO FISO (& Useful Links)
It looks to me that we could; in english the conclusion reads that a) the database doesn't count as an original intellectual creation, it's just data creation, and b) no individual national law overrides this. But it's admin's call in the end of course - though it looks good that dataco have acknowledged that they have lost in their stop press. Hurrah.WilBert wrote:Yikes here is the full text.

Let's see what the Legal Press/Websites say over the next week or so and then I can judge better whether DataCo aren't going to continue to try and enforce licences on displaying EPL fixtures.

It's true though, this bunch of solicitors (because that's what they are), were trying to copyright 'facts', (not inventions, trademarks, art, music) just facts. They have been found out by another bunch of bloody solicitors.
The FA pirates should be ashamed, because the fat bustard solicitors never will be.
Can't wait for St Johnstone v Ross County at the weekend (go on you fat bustards sue me)

Sorry mate. I copywrighted the words 'aye' and 'bollocks' and you have to pay me 4000 pounds each time you use them in the written or verbal form.

I guess as you have taken the time to count the letters we can call an out of court truce.

Re: DO NOT COPY FIXTURE LISTS ON TO FISO (& Useful Links)
Couldn't see much on the web even now so emailed Football Dataco a week ago asking whether fiso could use/publish EPL fixtures and the answer was:admin wrote:Let's see what the Legal Press/Websites say over the next week or so and then I can judge better whether DataCo aren't going to continue to try and enforce licences on displaying EPL fixtures.
'A license is no longer required for the use of fixtures of the 3 UK professional leagues.'
Will see about resurrecting FISO Goals which Football Dataco had forced us to take down.

Re: DO NOT COPY FIXTURE LISTS ON TO FISO (& Useful Links)
And if FISO Goals does come back I will consider rebooting the 3 old school Premiership Predictions Cups through the season based on FG scores.
Bringing back the old favourites. It will just like them starting showing Birds Of A Feather again.....
Stay tuned for sign ups and details nearer the time.
