No more reasons !!!!!

That's early isn't it - and this season ends a little late.

No summer championships obviously but a double short break. Poor lambs will only get a slightly longer holiday than teachers - less with pre-season.

New Years Day falls on a Friday

Could this be a factor ???

This is how they fitted them in 5 years ago when the Xmas dates were the same

http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... xture-list" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They now have a contract with BT to Show games over 5 "Midweek and Holiday Rounds"

Unless they play Friday 1st Jan they are going to have to use another midweek (August possibly)

Failing that they would have to use Easter Monday

The Football League have already said they are playing Jan 2nd so looks like the FA Cup has been shifted to Sat 9th ???

Yay! Admin's sorted the sticky status out. :)

Now, when are we getting March's announcement? Last year was very late - last Monday in Jan. Hopefully not as late this year.

There are no games on FA Cup Round 6 day

BT already know which 2 matches they are showing on March 3 and 4 (they are restricted on their midweek deal)
Man City match and Man United match

So Basically they have no excuse not to tell us today !!!

March is quite quiet

This is the info I need!

Presumably City v Leicester will be on the Wednesday as City (provisionally) play on the preceding Sunday.

Meaning Newcastle v United is moved to the Tuesday?

I have been umming and ahhing about doing an overnight trip for the City game. Knowing that it is going to be on BT Sport makes up my mind. I will go.

I'll do anything to avoid having to listen to Michael Owen's co-commentary.

That means BT can (or have already ) show the second City pick in their smaller package as a 4th pick on a Sat 1245

And it looks like the game is on March 21st

Even if your TV is stuck on the BT channel, you could turn it off. However, I think that Mrs Striker would recommend that you watch Holby that evening in the warmth, rather than endure a freezing March evening in Manchester seeing City humiliated. It's a win win situation.
