No midweek league fixtures til the very end of November I note. Should minimise league rotation (other than usual European factors).

Interesting that they’ve published PL fixtures before the EFL 72 is finalised. Assuming we have crowds in stadia, isn’t there a complex web of “who plays at home on the same day” stretching across the country/all divisions?

I suppose given the distribution of PL kick-off times these days it matters less. I really hope the pattern of only having one Saturday 3pm match isn’t made permanent.

That split start is so annoying when putting TFF teams in. Do you need Arsenal / Brentford players? Wait til Saturday 12:30 and what advantage is Man U v Leeds team news only? A few good teams/options if you wait til 3.

Away rule scrapped

Post by SamD »

The away goals rule in European club football is to be abolished from the start of next season, governing body Uefa has confirmed.

The rule, used since 1965, decided drawn two-legged games by favouring the team that scores the most away goals.

All ties level on aggregate at the end of the second leg will instead now go to extra time.

Quelle surprise, they're late again. Dec/Jan fixtures were due by yesterday.

I'm interested to see what will happen with this (taken from the November statement): "The following six matches scheduled for 30 November 2021 will move to a date later in the week that will be announced in due course: Aston Villa v Man City, Everton v Liverpool, Watford v Chelsea, West Ham v Brighton, Wolves v Burnley and Man Utd v Arsenal."

I believe it's an Amazon Prime midweek set. All the same, I can't see why 6 of the 7 Tuesday fixtures have to move.

If the teams are playing Sunday then Tuesday is no good.

Was offered a free 30 day Amazon trial this morning which I declined. Hope I get one nearer the time...

Unimaginative picks. Not one of the non league teams featured which is the essence of the FA Cup now these days.

The 2 saturday ones are strange - and unappealing (to me/most?). Their usual tactic of big club v anyone would suggest going Liverpool v Shrewsbury and 'the magic of the cup' would be a non league team.

Both suggest Chelsea v Chesterfield shirley?
