CYKI FA Cup 2008/09

Post by Shaggy365 »

Just received my email to sign up. Didn't play this last year, so I don't know what to expect. Looks up to the standard of the CYKI Premier league game so I'll be giving it a go.

No mini-league prize, £100 for best team each round & £500 for over-all winner.

Here we go then.

Link

Mini-league details a few postings down

(Not sure I'll be picking many Forest players though)

FISO Forum mini-league set up.

Should I post mini-league details here, or do we get people to join by pm. I think it's probably OK to post login details here as there's no prize money, but I'll go by whatever other people say.

May as well post it seeing as the main league's code is also public. It was public last year.

OK then. The code is 49-12

and may God bless all who sail in her.

Better take a screen shot now as I'm top at the moment, and will never be so again.

Thats The Bare Bones in, although I have to question the logic of starting a new game, when all my limited FF time is spent trying to put out fires almost everywhere else :?

Are they not allocating the public leagues yet? A mini knockout cup would be good rather than just a league.

Definitely up for this... As my main CYKI team gradually slips down the overall rankings I'll be able to take solace in January by tinkering my heart away in the FA Cup game!!!

Thanks for setting up the league. Will enter a team tonight.

Cheers

I may run a side-competition for this if we get enough entries into the league. If there's only a dozen entries it may make it a little tricky. Anything over 20 & I should be able to organise something.

No I tried to pick properly, but with the amount of rotation that will happen in the FA Cup (especially with the top teams) I think you need a huge bit of luck to get a full 11 playing. :?

Just checked the rules. You get unlimited free transfers in between each round.

Perhaps I might do better picking players further down the leagues, given that they'd probably play, rather than trying to guess which 'top' players might actually get a game. :?

Just as well you told us, with there being two of you in this comp !

Grob Utd is also in,though like 5LB, I'm also a bit concerned about having too many too many pies in the oven to avoid some being forgotten and getting burnt.
