Spurs Extra Fixtures

Post by Sporting Abeergut »

Have just seen on fb there has been an update to Dreamteam rules to that the extra Spurs fixtures will not count.
Has anyone else here seen this and can confirm? Cheers

I thought the rules were crystal clear from the beginning that they would count.

Just read the rules again & it says that european qualifying games will not count.....(excluding play off rounds) so that tells me that spurs extra games WILL COUNT given that they are in the play off round.

It wouldn’t be the start of the season without the posts on which European games do/don’t count. Love it. Bring it on….

Not sure what to think now, when you look at (Tott) players fixtures on site it says Wolves after City game.

What a loaf of shite the rules clearly state the play offs count yet they couldn’t be bothered to add the fixtures on the site 🙄even though they put on the league cup fixtures. I’ll throw some spurs in Just in case

But can't Spurs beat a team that lost to Larne (in the second leg) with bench-sitters, reserves and the boys?

Doesn't anyone have a view on how weak/strong a team Spurs will put out against the Portugese?

I would expect mainly reserve team players to play out there.

I’ll be amazed if he starts a single first team regular. Getting knocked out would be a blessing, wouldn’t it?

I think the first leg is out there, Spurs playing Citeh teatime today then travelling to Portugal for a Thursday night match (haven't checked kick off time) then travelling back to play Wolves away on the weekend.

I'm largely in the moderate line up camp myself, but some good fantasy managers seem to have put several Spurs players in their Dream Team teams which would only have been justified IMO by them getting European time this week. Last year's winner Fergi is one such manager according to his hub article. I suppose it could be used like an "out of order" pre-season friendly for a few first XI players.

I noticed that myself Striker it prompted me to glance at Spurs fixtures a few days ago, on looking i decided to leave out Moura and Son for this week only time will tell if that is the right or wrong move.

Ive done a team (based on the possible extra fi xtures) with 7 spurs players in it😳.

With all the free teams available i thought i'd take a chance & see where it went,if it bombs quickly its one less team to stay on top of,if it pays off, happy days.🌝

I’d expect fringe players mixed with the likes of Moura and Alli so Ben Davies and Aurier mixed in probably play weaker keeper though. I do expect Nuno to go for it and win the competition so he’ll definitely want to qualify. Kane might even get an appearance if they are not letting him go….. Be interesting to see if he’s in the bench today. If not I take that as a sign he’s leaving

Surely the good managers are covering it because they have 10 teams so cover things like this with at least one team.

My opinion is reserves going out there and if they keep it close then maybe first teamers in the home leg.

100% start!

Also, Aurier has been left out, along with Ndombele so Doherty to most likely start at RB too

Despite being in the squad, Kane hasn't flown out to Portugal and has remained in London to 'work on his fitness'.

Hopfully a few 20/ 30 minute cameo’s for some of the bigger guns then, Depending on result and likelihood of needing to win next week. Transfers being made this thursday/ weekend. Getting them out. City Norwich looks tasty and lakaku gotta come in soon too
