Dreamteam 21/22 + Top 100 Leaderboard

Post by aurora »

launches this week I read on the website, 75k to the winner, I'm hoping they finally limit selections to 3 players per team, makes the game more skilful by not allowing blocks imo, still 5 transfers a month, I'd have preferred 50 to use when you like but not too fussed.

Both of your suggestions would make the game more like other formats so I think that will be the reason those changes probably won't happen, imho.

Conference League is the big unknown for me.

Anyway, good that we still have a game and the prize money hasn't fallen for the first time in about ten years...

Been playing for a few years now and my only complaint about the game is that I can't seem to win at it.

Would be nice something like having to have maybe a couple of players who were playing in teams not competing in Europe.

People say oh everyone would pick the same players but thats already happening. It would definitely make it abit more varied even if its slightly.

Either that or tighten the budget more/make players more expensive.

I suppose, tbh I'm just glad they're not canning the game, has felt it was going that way in recent years because of prize drops.

I wouldn’t have been surprised if it had been canned the way it’s gone the last few years, so glad to see it’s still running.

Is there a reason they can’t offer a paid option anymore (or even just a national ‘mini’ league)? Would just be nice to see the prize fund rise a bit again. The days when they had decent monthly prizes gave everyone a chance even if they’d fallen behind in the main game.

They definitely need to do something different this season, so many teams with the same players.

I think it had something to do with new gambling regulations, where they were put in a position where they either had to make the game free for everyone or paid for everyone, so they made it free, think the Telegraph went the same way. I prefer the paid option as well without a cap, but maybe they could have structured it in a way so as not to have Sandor's entering 1000 teams, such as first 10 teams £2, 10-19 = £3, 20-29 = £4, 30-39 = £5, 40-49-= £6, 50-100 =£10, 100+ = £20, or something like that.

Would think it's imminent as the season game is now back on the android app, although when you go into it, it's last years teams currently showing

Slight difference to rules this term

"Eligible and Pending Transfers

In an update to the rules for eligible and pending transfers this season, Players will now only become locked based on their appearance and not their Club.

Once a Club’s first match of the GW starts, only a Player that makes an appearance in that match will become "locked".

Players that have made an appearance will either have started the match or made a substitute appearance.

All Players of the two participating Clubs will be temporarily locked during the duration of the game but Players of each Club that did not make an appearance in that match will become unlocked once the match is over."

... not that I have any confidence in the sun not stuffing this up as well.

that's a good move, was kinda hoping they'd bring back a weekly game, but I guess that's gone for good now.

I wish they’d raise the prices a bit or lower the budget. You don’t need to put any budget players in with these prices.

That's by design unfortunately - you don't attract the casual masses if the game is hard.

When are the initial teams locked in? Is it as soon as Brentford v Arsenal starts or can you make unlimited changes until a particular player plays. For example could I start with Kane but then if he’s not playing in the first game change him to Son without using a transfer?
