Dream Team 2020/21
Hi All
Obviously the site isnt live yet, so i can't guarantee they won't change things but printed at the moment are..
"The game is completely free to play with an entire £100,000 in free prizes available to all Managers throughout the season. "
"We want to give you the best chance to manage your team as often or as little as you like so you can enjoy the game for longer, therefore this season we have increased your monthly transfers from three to five. "
"We have made the decision to not run Weekender for the 2020/21 season. Because of this, we have been able to give you an even better Draft product, and with our (delayed) Euro 2020 game coming soon, there is plenty to look forward to!"

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
Game really was the best at one time, mostly because it offered the most prize money, but that dwindles every year, the monthly game is gone and the wekeender is pretty lame compared to weekly games in years gone by, don't even really know what the draft game is about. I'd rather pay for teams again and have unlimited amounts, then again, their payment system was shocking. I have a feeling it'll be something like 25k jackpot but you can win a free parker pen each month.

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
Prize money 100k that would equate to 50k first prize I’d guess and second 25k and the remaining 25k to 3rd-10th place. In the grand scheme of things it’s not that bad if you compare to TFF and Sky But it’s just not what we’re used to.

I only really got into and started to enjoy SDT when it moved to 3 transfers a month. Seems okay as it is to me.

I think that’s optimistic. Could easily see them saying it also covers the Euros

This is the page I'm look at by the way
https://www.dreamteamfc.com/g/#help/faqs
Clicking on Transfers you can see the why have we changed transfers section and clicking on weekender you can see it says they have dropped that game
Season game overview bit says £100,000
Like i said, its not live so things can still change (and they can still change after its gone live )

Cheers, £75k for winning is decent enough and at the upper limits of what I expected.

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
Thanks for the info Frank I’m just glad there is still a DT game and I can’t wait for it to start but I am going to really miss the weekenders despite the weekender games being far better in previous seasons. I still loved picking a team every weekend, especially once you realised your seasonal teams had no chance. I’m surprised they’ve continued the draft thing as I didn’t think anyone was that bothered about it last season.

bigger prizes to be won in paid mini-leagues on Fiso with few players than snaring 1st or 2nd in the Sun.
If they are run next season

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
Also think the 5 subs a month rule is due to the horrendous fixture list all teams will have and the amount of injuries teams will pick up,just to keep the interest for most

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
Should make things a bit more interesting
Just need the 3 players max from one team to make a comeback, then that really shakes things up.

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
5 transfers a month...not really a fan of that, everyones teams will end up very similar very quickly. Especially if the player prices aren't that high.
From the 'Why we changed this' section: "We want to give you the best chance to manage your team as often or as little as you like so you can enjoy the game for longer, therefore this season we have increased your monthly transfers from three to five."
It sounds like they're making transfers more readily available to make it more accessible and fight drop-off, but I'm not sure making it easier helps there...I know people who like/liked the Sun's one because transfers weren't as frequent, so they only needed to look every month or two. Increasing the transfers only helps those who play a lot, and will widen that gap between hardcore and casual IMO.
I sorta wish The Sun understood that games like this having limitations is part of what makes them good...it means that there is more variation between teams, it makes picking players more interesting, fun and makes it matter more. That many transfers will mean that transfers don't matter much as you can just switch out anyway a week later.

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
Would be better if you could use the transfers as & when needed,ie anytime rather than having to keep waiting for fridays to come around.

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
See if they re-class Aubameyang to midfielder then like they have in FPL, also if Sterling is now a striker that should mean Mahrez is as they play the same position just different sides.

Re: Dream Team 2020/21
Teams that play 3 up top
Liverpool Salah firmino mane
City sterling jesus mahrez
Man U greenwood martial rashford
Che Willian Giroud pulisic
Tot son Kane moura
Ars pepe laca auba
Wol traore gimenez jota
Surely just the middle man of all those combos should get classed as strikers ?
The wider players all work back most of the time and should be classed as mids ?
