Remaining months transfers

Post by Lfcni1986 »

I am lucky enough to have 2 transfers left this month, current strikers are Kane, Salah and Jesus. Am really considering going Kane to Aguero, given they have 4 remaining games and I reckon Aguero is the best long term transfer until March, although Rashford is also tempting, and would also allow a complete defensive overhaul (Hart, Robertson, Doherty, Kolasinic)

Also what is everyone's thoughts on De Bruyne? Midfield is currently Hazard, Sterling, Sane and Mane. Am really considering going Mane to De Bruyne just simply because of the extra fixtures (am assuming he doesn't play Burton). He looked very hungry against Wolves.

When you’ve got those three duds at the back and the injured Kane I’d forget about tweaking that midfield.

Thanks Zimmer, the Kane transfer is happening,it's just to who is the question.

Surley your not counting Doherty as a dud? He's in the top 10 defenders in the game and constantly looks a threat for Wolves

i would consider Rashford over Aguero because
Rashford has a higher chance of starting the 3 games in Jan than Aguero does of starting his 4.
Pep is more likely to give 2 starts each to Aguero and Jesus.

for another option, have you considered Moura of Tottenham?

Yes, a bit harsh calling him a dud.
If you didn’t have him in your team would you consider (or advocate) bringing him in?

He’s scored four points across his last 6 appearances.

He’s scored 45 in his last 15 games.
Is 3ppg good (over that period)? I’m not sure (haven’t looked/compared).

EDIT: Kolasanic 26 over the same period
Wan Bissaka 50

Have to agree with Zimmer. Swap Kane and maybe Kolasinac. Arsenal have a few tough games on the horizon and they can't keep clean sheets.

Hart is an issue so maybe go Ederson if your wanting to keep Kolasinac.

Your midfield is good. Actually the same as mine in most of my teams. Mane has a couple of ok fixtures so wouldn't be surprised to see him pop up with a few goals.

Bear in mind, his last 6 have included Liverpool x 2, Man City and Spurs. Within the next 7, he has Leicester, West Ham, Bournemouth, Newcastle, possibly Shrewsbury and Cardiff.

I agree totally with Kolasnic tho, I thought Arsenal would have kept more clean sheets over the Christmas period than they did. Hoping for a near straight swap when Gomez returns to be honest.

anyone still got transfers spare and doing well in their respective leagues?

if so, anyone considering Foden of man city?
2 cup games this month so will get games and only £2.5m

Are you being serious? With the array of brilliant scoring midfielders and injuries mounting it would be the last thing I would be considering.

I've got 2 left in my best team that's around 140th overall. Kane out is 1 change, and then upgrade one of my defenders like Doherty to Laporte after this weekend.

I'd say the only person you will be confusing is yourself throwing Foden in and then using a transfer next month to get rid when he's cleaning KDB boots lol

Why would you wait till after this weekend for that move?

Wolves have Leicester at home which could see wolves keep a clean sheet, if not Doherty is usually good for an assist or goal compared to other defenders.

Laporte is likely to only play the premier league game so it's 1 game each.

It also leaves me with 1 transfer if something more urgent crops up like a Salah injury for a few weeks.

I'm still undecided, kane is going to Aguero/Rashford/aubayamemg. Thing putting me off Aguero is I have Jesus, and I'm also considering Kolasnic to VDV/Tripper/City defender.

Rashford would allow Hart to be sorted next month too, but will Lukaku be starting upfront?

Your asking questions that only OGS can answer. Look at the last 6 games and base your decisions of that. It is the only thing we have to go off.

I don't know why your even considering trippier but il leave that to you.

Tripper is a long term option, in February, Watford, Newcastle, Leciester, Dortmund (all home) then Burnley away. Plus if Llorente is playing, it'll be cross cross cross

Yes, he got arrested a few days ago and released on bail for assault etc, so was assuming he mighnt be in right frame of mind to play. I thought he was 2nd choice anyway mainly cup games but I could be wrong?

Aurier has only started 4 league games this season... but Trippier was injured on each of those occasions.

It's not just league matches that get points though.

I'm not suggesting Aurier will play it's more that while Trippier is first choice he probably has more competition than other full backs.

Poch rotates full backs quite abit and maybe Trippier misses out the easier matches.

Any advise on what to do with this lot.

3 transfers left 0.9itb

Team:

Fab
Robbo
VVD
Doherty
Hazard
Madderson
Sterling
Sane
Kane
Auba
Salah

Kane, Madderson and Fab need to come out, but for who?

Options:

A, Rashford, Pogba (or eriksen), Ederson
B, Aguero, Trippier (or Laporte), Ederson

Feedback or alternatives welcome.

Thanks all

But that doesn’t stack up in the case of Trippier though does it?

Rose/Davies seem to play one each.

Regardless, I’d be a bit cautious with Spurs. Without two key players it could upset their system regardless of how competent the reserves are?

Moura and Lamela are ok... but they’re not Kane and Son.

Seen Mendy is back training so could mean sane could have limited game time as pep doesn't like playing both together.just a thought as sane Free's up a lot of funds.

Davis has played in 25 games this season to Roses 15.

Trippier is the 15th best defender in the game. He could be a decent differential if he was able to whack in a few of them free kicks and keep clean sheets however I just think there's better options.

I don't fancy Spurs against Dortmund without Kane so that would reduce the potential games to just league games if Aurier plays FA cup.

Possibly true, but I think Sane is playing that well and it will be a while before Mendy will up to the same speed as this team is now... that I wouldn’t bank on Mendy displacing Sane (indirectly) any time soon.

I went Kane to Rashford, but also Kolasinic to VDV, the former getting his first clean sheet in God knows how long

But broke into top 300 which I'm very happy about, and I owe alot of that to the great info found on these forums especially fixture grids etc :D
