Fantasy Sports Newsletter - FSN 83 - 5 April 2005
Our 83rd Fantasy Sports Newsletter covers three
Fantasy Golf competitions that tee-off this month:
1. Fantasy League Golf 2005 - http://www.fantasyleaguegolf.com/index.asp?friend=fisogolf
It's a pleasure to play this game - my favourite fantasy sports game on the web.
A lot of work goes on behind the scene to ease the time taken to manage your
team leaving you to concentrate on tactics and player form. Vast TV coverage of
the US and European tours means that you can normally follow your players for
virtually 4 full days each week. Pick 12 players (with only 6 playing each week)
and 20 transfers for the 31 week season. A cost of £15 reflects the quality of
the game and the £20,000 prize pool where there is something to play for every
week. Everyone is welcome to join the FISO mini-league - just use the League
PIN: 33.
Entry deadline is first tee-off of the US Masters this Thursday (7 April) so
don't delay.
2. Fantasy European Tour - http://www.fantasyeuropeantour.com
Choose 5 players from the European Tour each week from 5 different rating bands
and score according to their prize winnings from that tournament. The leading
manager of the 2005 fantasyeuropeantour.com competition will be off to Ireland
for the 2006 Ryder Cup played at The K Club in Co. Kildare. Cost is £10 for
this official European Tour fantasy golf game.
Entry deadline is midnight Wednesday 13 April.
3. PGA Tour Fantasy - http://www.golfweb.com/fantasy
The official US PGA Tour fantasy golf game - only open to (most) US residents
though. Free to play and just pick 5 players each week. The winner gets to play
at the TPC at Sawgrass.
This game starts with the US Masters this Thursday.
