News Tues 3 Jan 2006:

THE FORUM WAS DOWN FROM 3:30PM ON TUES 3 JANUARY TO 6AM WED 4 JANUARY. IT IS NOW BACK UP.

News Wed 14 Dec 2005:

THERE WILL BE SOME FORUM DOWNTIME ON WEDNESDAY 14 DECEMBER WHILST OUR WEBHOSTS MOVE THEIR SERVERS TO A NEW LARGER DATACENTRE.

Update 7am Friday 14 October

A new forum has been created at:

http://www.fantasyfootballuk.co.uk

Then see the FISO News forum for more information.

Update 10pm Thursday 13 October

We've been testing the new forum out this evening and it looks all set to release tomorrow morning. Will post the web link then.

Update 8pm Wednesday 12 October

We are still on target to provide a full forum service tomorrow morning. This will be using a new php forum at new web hosts. Existing forum users will be imported in so no need to re-register. The existing read-only forum will be kept as an archive.

Update 8pm Tuesday 11 October

We are aiming to provide a full forum service from late Wednesday/early Thursday this week.

Update 7:30am Monday 10 October

In order to allow everyone to see previous forum posts, the forum has been restored. The technical problems have not yet been fixed however and so we have locked the forum, meaning that only Admin can post to the forum. If our web hosts do not resolve the technical problems (in moving to a new upgraded account) by the middle of the week then we will probably use this forum as an archive and set up a new blank php forum. A further support request to our web hosts was sent on Sunday asking then to action our requests for support. If there are urgent messages that ought to be posted on the forum then please email Admin via admin@fiso.co.uk

Update 3pm Friday 7 October

A response was received by us from our web hosts at 2:30pm today on one of the 2 issues we asked them about yesterday morning. We still await a response on the other issue, on which our last support request was made 5pm yesterday.

Email sent 11am Friday 7 October

The forum is still offline as we wait for our web hosts to fully look at a technical issue we have on the upgrade to a larger database.

If our web hosts cannot resolve the technical issue in the next couple of days then it is likely that we will move to new hosts and we will look into this when we have more time at the weekend.

We expect to restore the service by early next week at the latest.

P.S. There is no truth in the rumour that the forum was taken down by so many Del Horno injury threads!

Update 4pm Thursday 6 October (email to be sent tomorrow)

Further to the message below we don't expect our web hosts  to sort matters out today.

Update 2pm Thursday 6 October (email to be sent tomorrow)

Our web hosts, are aware of our requests for assistance. We are waiting for them to deal with the technical issues. If they do not deal with them by Friday (they have been very slow in responding so far) we will look at uploading the forum database to a new host over the weekend.

Email sent 8:30pm Wed 5 October 2005:

Following on from our email on Tuesday evening (see below), we can confirm that the forum was taken offline by us this Wednesday lunchtime to enable us to transfer the database to an upgraded account with our web hosts.

The transfer has been successful and we hope to be able to allow access to the forum tomorrow (Thursday) as soon as Customer Support at our UK web hosts sort out some technical issues. The forum is therefore offline until sometime on Thurs 6 Oct. We are, however, dependent on our web hosts looking at these issues tomorrow so cannot guarantee that we will be back up on Thursday.

Fortunately this interruption in service has happened in an International Week and thank you for bearing with us over the past couple of days. If urgent assistance is required with Fantasy Sports issues then you can email us at admin@fiso.co.uk

Email sent 8:30pm Tues 4 October 2005:

Unfortunately the forum has been offline for most of today without any prior warning from our web hosts. We have been in contact with our web hosts and understand that an upgrade is needed to our account with them due to the size of the forum database. We asked earlier today that this be done as soon as possible but it appears that they will not action it until tomorrow (Wednesday). This is obviously disappointing to those running the site as well as those that use it.

In case you've not heard, the main injury news from this week is Ash Cole's foot stress facture which should rule him out of Arsenal's matches over the next 1 to 2 months.
