This is the kind of Calendar I had in mind where you can add new events, single all day events and recurring events. You could also view it as a Daily or Monthly Calendar.

Interesting idea that could prove useful. If it's tied in with the fixture dates/times entered by the admins within FISO Goals, certain recurring deadlines can be set up (and display for the next 2 or 3 weeks). If certain users had admin rights then they could also add other dates as and when required and maybe anyone could add a date which is only displayed when approved i.e. works similar to the fiso injury news table. Will see if I can get a webdeveloper to create such an application in the New Year.

Presumably a lot of people on here drive and a number of things could be discussed, from car faults to accidents, insurance claims to speeding fines.

Pretty much everything else seems to be covered.

Have moved some relevant threads into it.

Might there be a facility to 'mark' threads I'm interested in? At the minute I can search by latest posts, or my posts, so the only way to have a list of threads I'm interested in to watch is to post something on them so they appear in my posts, which woud be power posting?

Is this the same as the "subscribe topic" link at the top of each thread? This is what I use to get email updates of threads even if I haven't posted on them but I don't know if works with the way you check for updates.

I find the subscribe topic thing a bit hit and miss (see http://www.fiso.co.uk/forum/post1424339.html#p1424339 for example).

Is it possible to set up an RSS feed, which might be more reliable?

I used to really struggle with this but discovered that you have to open every email you get sent by FISO otherwise it assumes you don't want to follow it anymore. Do you also struggle with subscribing to a thread if you haven't posted?

When you say open each email do you also click the link to view the newest post?

Sometimes, when I'm playing catch-up I'll read the latest direct from FISO and then later just mark the email as read without following the link. Seems a bit of a pain if I've got to click each link...I'd much rather subscribe via a feed. :?

No, I just noticed that, for example, if I subscribe to a topic and whilst reading the update another post is made I'll get a notice on my email. If I ignore that and delete the email I no longer get emails. It's the same if I post on the Pick Quick thread, if I want to ignore it and delete the email I normally won't get another one. I just have to open the emails before I delete them.

You might find though that there are a surprisingly small number of people who follow threads this way so you might not get too much interest in your suggestion. An alternative on services such as iGoogle is to generate your own RSS feeds by simply adding the latest URL - would that work?

The post number is incremental so I guess it's possible to create a feed showing only the latest posts but it is beyond me. If any techies know how to do this, please PM me.

Thanks for the pointers DrB, much appreciated.

Thanks Admin :)

Just one more thing, is there scope to increase the number of smilies ?

it would be great if there was a scrolling feature for the advert banners at the top.

i lose my user login session when i post from my iPhone. this happens intermittently. is there anyway this can be resolved? i surf Fiso from my iPhone quite often.

I too wouldn't mind a few more style options. This one isn't very work friendly. ;)

When I play Fiso Goals after I have entered my predictions I can't get straight back to the Index Page without first clicking on, My Messages, then Latest Posts and then Index Page. :?

I rarely use the index page but it would be nice to be able to go straight to latest posts from Fiso Goals rather than going via memberlist or whatever.

Yes please

Fiso's new webdevelopers have now created this on fiso's development server. It's being tested by Moderators and those users that have volunteered* to help test developments (includes you I think) over the next few days so hopefully should be live next week.

* Other volunteers from long-time fiso members welcome

Much appreciated Chris (I haven't got time to be on FISO at the mement (ahem) so i can't test it, sorry).

Sounds like goodbye to bleating poker sobstories and boring cricket

PS I think some forums should be 'compulsory' like Team News and Forum News or we run the risk of the 'ghettoisation' of some forums (cough, FPL, cough) getting worse.

Is anything happening about FISO's own FF game in time for this season?

I would like it if each person's post count for each individual post said: "Post XXX of XXXX total posts".

Would it be possible to have a "TFF" button the same as the FPL guys have a button?

Obviously only work for 'public' teams that people want to show but I think it could be useful for things like the Eggcup league (my only public team) or people doing RMT / transfer dilemmas

Interesting. I doubt this would be possible but I'd second this suggestion.
