Just wondered if anyone had any similar moments of a game that they remember that had a big effect on a game-week. For example the leader of my main mini league had Vorm + Taylor (Swansea) and I had Bosingwa and no Swansea cover.

One lucky shot from Bos meant

For me

Bos + 3 for assist

For him

Taylor - 6 (4 for CS gone and 2 for OG)
Vorm - 4 for CS gone

a 13 point swing in 1 goal.

Not really the same but I remember one time I had Downing (c) vs Sunderland when he was at Boro and also Gordon in goal. Boro got a penalty, Downing steps up, balloons it. No goal, -4 for the penalty miss and no compensation in save points for Gordon

Lol, unlucky, I hate when my players miss pens :P I imagine there have been a few cases of someone having a pen against someone else's keeper.

I will never forget when I had Jaskalainen on goal, and I was playing my H2H rival. I was leading 1 or 2 points and then Jaskala face slapped R.Johnson for no reason, got a red card, and I lost the game.

I signed Gallas ahead of the spurs DGW instead of BAE.

18 point swing on one decision. Slick.

I remember this, he hit the bar. Why do I remember this? I captained him that day. He scored me 0 when he should have scored me at least 14.

Last season Fulham had a DGW and I decided to captain Zamora. Most of my rivals jumped on another played (can't remember who that was but think they scored over 30 points).

However, back to Zamora. He failed to play the first game so 0 points. Then in the 2nd game he failed to start but came on as a sub late in the 2nd half.

All of a sudden he got played a through ball which he took round the keeper and scored. It looked like I was going to score a consolation 10 points (4 for goal, 1 for appearance).

However, the linesman, INCORRECTLY, flagged him offside so his goal was scrapped. To add salt to my wounds, the ref then booked Zamora for not listening to the whistle and time wasting by taking the shot.

My DGW captain scored me exactly ZERO!!!

LAST NIGHT BLACKBURN v NEWCASTLE

David Dunn - What a Donkey!!!!

Dunn steps up. Looking good for non NU CS. Weak penalty. Krul saves. NU keep CS. That was a 17 pt swing against me in the H2H in the Fantasy Cup. This is going to knock me out. :x My opponent had Krul, Taylor and Simpson. He is now going to beat me by 5pts. (Pre Bonus) :x :x :x Don't think I can make 5pts up on him in the bonus allocation. I mean who in their right mind has a block of 3 NU defenders.

All on top of which I only got a 6pt return from my strikeforce. (Including Capt.)

Last season.

I had Fabregas and my rival had Joe Hart.

Fabregas (c) vs Joe Hart

Man City 0 - 3 Arsenal

Fabregas 2pt (2pts - 1pt + 1pt) (doubled for captain 4pt)
Hart 8pts (2pt - 1pt + 1pt + 6pt)

Had Fabregas netted, I'd have got 10pts (5pts doubled).

My opponent gained 6pts from this and if Fabregas netted then City could have theoretically conceded four, so would have lost another point. The swing in my opponents points was 7pts

The swing in my points was 10pts

Overall swing was 17pts.

National championships, semi-final... was losing by a Wazari. Managed to catch my opponent with a Tomoe-nage and swung the ba$tard some 2+ meters for a complete Ippon and victory.

On the last day of the season I had Dunne of Man City vs my rival with Downing of Boro. Finished Boro 8-1 City with Dunne sent off.

Dunne -6 points
Downing 17 points

23 point swing from 2 players.

I was top going into the last GW, ended up finishing second.

I also have Krul, Taylor and Simpson 8-)

Does anyone know if the penno save is added to the normal saves too? Krul is credited with 3 saves so if it is, that also gave him +1 for saves. Also, the CS may well have contributed towards the boni for Simpson and Taylor.

Ouch! Yea that penalty save screwed me too, a lot of my rivals have block Newcastle defence, and the bain of my life R.Taylor, every time I bring him in he does craaap so I'm refusing to again, soon as he goes BAM. He isn't even a good player! I had Santon as a non playing sub to make matters worse :)

I was cruising through to the next round until that save. Kinda reminds me, in a strange kind of way, of Schmeichels save from Bergkamp in 1999 in the FA Cup semi. United 10 men v Arsenal at Highbury, 1-1 at thetime. PS saves and then Giggs scores wonder goal. Treble won. All on the back of one PK save. Destiny I suppose.

Not necessarily a swing but close enough. GW 17 (Cup qualification week) Mancini subs Micah Richards in the 58th minute. Two more minutes and he gets 5 points rather than 0 which effectively kept me out of the cup.

Again not the biggest swing in absolute terms but large amongst defenders, does anyone else have Evans & his -1 pts being subbed in for Kompany who missed out on a CS & 7 pts?

Captain Bent missing two penalties vs Tottenham last year (24 point swing)

He still scored two goals, but it would have been nice!

Yep. Added to this I brought Kompany in for a four point hit.
