Not so good boys, who be this Tricky Dicky fella :?

Nigel has probably topped himself as he's finished 2nd in both Yorkshire comps :x

Good to see a certain Mr Chris King bagging the final monthly prize, 4 x 1 hour lessons on their way, but can you improve on perfection, that is the question Chris?

Hi...I'm looking for advice if anyone has "been there, done that"

Silent Manager are particularly silent.
I only have an email address that they do not respond to.
I am the fortunate Tricky Dicky in the Yorkshire Evening Post that has managed to hang on to my lead for many weeks, but I am not yet fortunate enough to get my hands on, or even close to, a set of golf clubs as a prize.

Anyone with any suggestions ?

You will have to contact the YEP directly, silent manager are just the hosts and will take nothing to do with the prizes. The prize sponsor is probably holding things up, but contacting YEP should get things moving along.

Fiso'er BlessedBrian won this comp previously, so he may come along and give you some advice about contacts etc.

Well done on your win BTW :)

Thanks for the tip of getting in touch with YEP.
They put me in touch with the sponsors, Oulton Hall, and the prize is a long way to being sorted. The guy I spoke to was very pleasant and responded quickly to all queries.

There is a down side though.
The "complete set of Nike golf clubs" is actually a set of irons.
No putter, no woods.
Still a very nice prize but the shine is taken off a bit because I thought I was competing for something even better.

I have been in touch with YEP.
They have demonstrated that their paper carried the advertisement for a prize of a set of irons. I have demonstrated that the website referred consistently to a set of clubs. YEP have agreed to honour the set of clubs.

Jobs a good 'un.

Good result!

Shame there isn't a custom fit service thrown in!

Hi mate - pleased you got it sorted.

Won the equivalent prize in the Yorkshire Post - do you have a contact name of someone you spoke to regarding the prize - the two papers are both managed by Johnstone Press so I would have thought the prize agreement would be the same.

Went for my custom fit about a week or so ago (gave the clubs to my dad in the end). Really good day out with nice huys at Oulton Hall, but sadly for the irons only.
