After last week's shockingly bad performance maybe I shouldn't be giving any advice, but if you read the attached article by Fantasy Guru Rob Bolton you will see there is a significant enough scoring difference between the courses that might influence your starting line up Thursday thru Saturday :

http://www.pgatour.com/2012/tournaments ... index.html

Then of course you can go deeper into am and pm selections, assuming am has better greens and the wind usually increases during the day

On the other hand you can spend five minutes and just pick the favourites :D

Personally, I don't regard a difference of less than a stroke between the hardest and easiest course as particularly significant, but as it happens, my current line-up means that I'm not fielding any players at La Quinta on the opening day anyway, so I guess we'll see from there...

Well I avoided la Quinta and loaded in - consequently left de gong on the bench again. He nearly always has 1 good round - but seldom 2 :-(

The amateurs didn't seem to have too much trouble with La Quinta, then! Two of the three tied for first on -12under (net I presume). Also the majority of those in the top ten and ties played La Quinta, with the Palmer Course seemingly harder for them!!

Appears to be echoed in the pro’s leaderboard also the Palmer Course being harder yesterday.

Left Laird on the bench (-6) in favour of Wi (-1)
Left Van Pelt on the bench (-5) in favour of Dustin (E)

Just a typical week really!

What a load of rubbish this game is. Because of the dalay in finishing the last round I kept watching to see when I could make my transfers, when all of a sudden the window of opportunity was gone and I ended up with 3 active players who missed the cut.

This has always been a problem with this game. It can't handle any delays in play

I think the deadline was 10am this morning!

I know, it's pants :(

Always worth reading the current tournament thread:

I had to guess whether Haas of Frazar would make the cut, went with Haas and got lucky (every 6 points counts  )

Yahoo update to follow late tonight.

Don't forget, you've got 'til 4.30pm to get those North course players into your line-up

Played 3½ shots easier than the South course yesterday

Hoping for a big improvement from Mickelson myself, some hope!

Poor first coupleof days has had me drop 3 places in the league but with the top 3 teams going one shy into the weekend then a couple of steady 30-40 points scoring days should balance that.

McBear looking good for the lead after the weekend.

Shaun looking good to drop back ;0)

Come on Bud Cauley!!!

And at the other end of the league ..... My only hope of not finishing last was that Redge had lost his password. Appears that he's now found it again and worryingly he's catching me up already.

Seeing as we have a leader of the FISO Yahoo league not in the £5 comp (Hot Wheels 2012), as well as the winner last year too (Backwoods), it seemed only right to have a little something for the winner this year, be they in the £5 league or not.

Consequently the winner of the FISO league will pick up the following:

Good luck everyone!

Today : Watney 75 (0 pts), Snedeker 74 (2 pts), Mahan 74 (2 pts)

Week 4 update:

Congrats to yorkshiredragon for his first weekly win and to FatCatz for hitting the top :D

I've put Redge out of his misery and omitted him (sorry Dad Dancer!), but we do have a new 'mystery' member of the group - Aberdeen Angus

Managed by Fatshaft - you out there Fatshaft? Welcome aboard!

Bit nervous about his Yahoo avatar:

Spitting image of KDub   , surely not?!

In line with other events associated with Pa - I would like to add some prizes to the comp for this year.

19 new Srixon AD333 golf balls to the winner of each of the sectional periods and also to the winner of the overall. ie Winter / Spring / Summer / Overall 76 balls in all

The 19 had been an ongoing bit of banter driven by Johns stableford performance at a fiso event. The choice of ball being in honour of the seemingly endless supply that he had from a fantasy comp win previously.

Im sure that the golf snobs amonst you could always resubmit them as a prize for a future event
