Just got home from the London auditions. Had a brilliant time, interesting to see the chemistry of the new judges, Tulisa and Kelly getting on really well, Gary has taken on the "tell it how it is" Simon role very well and Louis looks increasingly isolated as the only non singer on the panel.

No outstanding acts today but one gem of a rubbish one which has to make the televised stage i'm sure.

Acts who did well today were Roxy (standing ovation) a 16yr old boy whose name escapes me doing Michael Jackson track and Jo Beetlestone returning from last year with a new look (she was the horse dentist if anyone remembers).

No everyone we saw had already auditioned and were asked to turn up to audition in front of the judges. While we queued the acts we watched were doing outside broadcast snippets. We saw i reckon maybe 20 acts in the morning session with an evening session starting at 5pm. 2/3rds were serious acts and the other third were the silly ones.

The judges were seemed to be passed notes between acts, one Albanian girl was really pressed to reveal her father died in Kosovo, broke down and to top it all they didn't let her through.

Also interesting they do not agree on everything by a long stretch, one vote was 2-1, 3 yes's needed to go through and got a no.

Am I the only one that watched this tonight :?: :?

Have to say that I really enjoyed the first show and thought that both Kelly & Tulisa appeared to be pretty decent replacements for Danni & Cheryl (not so sure about Gary Barlow's attempt at being Simon Cowell Mark II :? ).

As for the auditions themselves...well there was certainly one that stood head & shoulders above the rest  ...

You aren't the only person that watched it tonight, Razor. But it was the main cause of the big argument here tonight.

It's Mrs Richt's favourite programme *more so because she loves Gary B*.

I can't stand it :?

I liked how Janet said she was singing Your Song by Elton John and then promptly did a carbon copy of Ellie Goulding's version.

I have just got in and havent (and wont watch tonights show). But from reading the spoilers :-

No comment about Goldie going through, after all that's the reason they have put her through, to get people to whinge, moan and generally talk about her.

What I am really shocked about is that Samantha Brookes didn't qualify! She has been amazing in the build up.

(just got in from watching Amanda Holden perform (amongst others) in Shrek the musical. She was ok, but didn't sing that well her self in the final number - not judge material in BGT

I assume Goldie is the one who could be Yoko Ono's deranged daughter\grandaughter?

If so, not taking part could be a masterstroke, assuming that she has not signed up with Cowell. She has got the publicity, and can sign up with someone now, and release stuff during the series.

Caught 5 mins of this pukeworthy shite last night

it seems to be a pre-requisite to get through to have these 4 qualities

1- can't eff sing
2- be a eff oddity
3- be one hell of an ugly eff uglier than BOYLE.
4- BAWL YOUR eff EYES OUT

honestly why anyone still watches this dross is baffling.

does anyone know who won last year.... no i dont either.

Were\are the two other bands, they weren't in bold. I blame the sub-editor

Maybe Louis is still making his mind up.

Some bloke from Essex in a hat won last year?

If that is true and Goldie has been picked over Samantha... Aye Carumba, it really is a farce. At least the freaks from the past havent eliminated anything especially wonderful before the live shows even start. Samantha singing One Moment In Time is probably the only audition ive ever seen that looked like the winner singing at the end of the final show!

Its a list of "confirmed" finalists by the same guy who leaked last years and upset Simon Cowell. The missing acts are simply ones as yet TBC.

Goldie widely reported to have quit the show after judges houses despite being picked as a finalist.

The "overs" (25 is over, jees) is always a difficult group. Never seems to be v good really. Honestly think I (age 37 btw) can sing better than most of the ones they put through to boot camp!!

Glad Samantha "reinstated" for the joke that was Goldie!

I think i'd have given Terry a go in the over's. A complete joke by Louis to put Goldie through. The man has no shame. Her husband was right to make her withdraw as she would have been ripped to pieces by the press and the public (that said, Jedward took a nasty beating, and they've made a few quid along the way). It makes a total mockery of the competition when you think Kitty will be at the live shows, but Jade won't. Honestly, it's embarrassing to watch sometimes, but it gets people (like me  ) talking, and i noticed a lot of Facebook statuses were changing to something about x factor last night!

Just to prove a point to some friends who said "go on then", recorded this last Monday (never done anything like it but fancied giving it a go)......Sounds better on headphones or proper speakers (not laptop)!

But do you have the all important X Factor? Style, personality, likeability or dislikeability, is there enough substance to you that you think would have the country/world talking as that's what the X Factor is all about, singing talent comes second fiddle to the X. Jedward have it as much as Leona Lewis whether it's positive or negative, just as long as it's not neutral.
