With Iran and USA being at loggerheads this past month especially with claims of Iran hiring Mexican drug dealers to top a Saudi Ambassador based in the USA

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... n-D-C.html

Will this lead us into WWIII?

From small sparks the entire region could be going up in flames.

The USA has also recalled its ambassador from Syria

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/stor ... 50888628/1

Again this could also be complete rubbish but a time travellor from the future called John Titor claimed that world war III will happen in 2012 again this could be complete rubbish.

However I'm sure everyone has heard of the end of the world in 2012 (Mayan prophercies).

Rubbish or a bit of truth into this.

I really do suspect we are on the verges of WWIII.
The Iranian plan to top the Saudi Ambassador in the USA sounds so stupid that it can only be concieved by a nation or nations seeking a excuse to invade Iran.

Of course if Iran is ever invaded that would bring Israel into any war and Syria on the side of Iran.

With a theatre of Iran & Syria vs Israel/Saudi Arabia and the USA (Other Arab countries being restrained due to the Arab spring).

No doubt we would see strong words from China and Russia on the situation especially as to the outside world this would be seen as a rush to control the ever decreasing world resources of oil.

How far in the future did this time traveller come from? If from further ahead than 2012 then it discredits the Mayan prophecy.

According to the articles I have read 2036. Hi is also mentioned on wikipedia.

Wikipedia John Titor. makes for interesting reading but who is to say that we don't develop time travel in 2036.

Anyway in my view world war III is very likely

A very interesting article on China pursuing oil resources in Africa

http://www.cfr.org/china/china-africa-oil/p9557

http://www.iags.org/chinainafrica.pdf

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php? ... a&aid=5714

Either way the 2 greatest users of oil are the USA and China so at some point whether it is a war over the middle east or Africa the next World War will commence.

As for time travel

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... sians.html

If the Russians were making this claim years ago then surely the possibility of a fully developed time machine in 2036 cannot be discounted.

The Russians won the space race vs USA. They managed to get beat the USA to all the major achievements during the space age ie
First man and woman in space, first spacewalk, space station etc.

In fact the USA only managed to beat the USSR once in putting a man on the moon (Again this is disputed by some people that it actually happened).

But when Russia makes a statement on timetravel it is something we should all sit up and consider strongly.

I for one have always been bemused by reports of UFO's which often visit our planet yet never land or make contact.

Could these be time travellers from the future?

WW3. No. Another middleeast war is inevitable with USA track record and Israel wanting to get Iran from over their shoulders.
Russia and China will take a backseat, the other countries will play minor roles or adjudicators. Won't happen for years yet if it even does.

It sounds to me as if the USA are already stockpiling reasons to attack Iran, especially with the news that Iran tried to top the Saudi ambassador on USA soil.

I very much doubt that the USA intelligence would have released this info to the public if it was not building up world opinion for a war in Iran.

With the USA withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan I can see it happening sooner rather than later.

In the past 18months a number of terrorist targets have been eliminated by the USA, with the Arab spring and Libya being freed Iran will happen sooner rather than later.

China and Russia will no doubt be very interested, if Iran falls under the influence of the USA then most of the middle east will be under the unfluence of the USA including the oil resources.

The next world war will be over the oil resources of our planet and I feel it will be between China and allies and USA ad allies.

Water covers the other 70.78 percent of the Earth's surface. This is about 139.4 million square miles (361 x 106 square kilometers). :?

Yet 1 billion people do not have access to fresh water as most water on the planet is saline

The 1 billion people who do not have access to fresh water would also not have access to the means to start WWIII.

The 2 major countries in the oil rush are China and the USA who both have the means to commence WWIII.

Every country in the world has the ability to start a war and every war has the potential to escalate into something far bigger.

I despair. Tell you what Achiles, I'll give you a heads up on the state of play, a kind of FF rating of the nations:

USA - Class is permanent, but recent form is decidely dodgy. May ultimately struggle against the rising economic power of China and India. Any large scale war is probably now beyond their fiscal capabilities without further indebting themselves to China.

China - Rising economic power, but distribution of wealth is poor, may struggle to sustain current levels of domestic growth. Will, however, become the leading superpower, most probably under a hybrid communist-capitalist policy-fiscal system. Any large scale war will only result in a loss of momentum, and in any case is 'buying off' pockets of interest. The danger is more likely to come from within.

India - Rising power, but poor urban and socioeconomic development might well hold the nation back. Likely will follow China's lead as the regions superpower. More interested in Kashmir and domestic terrorism than conflicts elsewhere.

UK and Eurozone - Probable that, before time, entire union will have to undergo radical reform to allow for greater fiscal rationalisation and, eventually, synchronisation. The threat to jobs and the economy long-term across the continent will probably lead not only to the UK's entry to a 'new' Eurozone, but also a greater or even full union of nations (United States of Europe if you will). Simple too skint and internally focused to launch or partake in a full scale war.

Iran - Despite nuclear capabilities, is really a small time player globally. Current president does not hold concrete support amongst the people, and will likely be prevented from going beyond rhetoric.

North I presume, hardly anything to worry about for non-North Koreans really - though South Koreans obviously have to deal with their nonsense, it's not as if the North are going push the button (which they don't have I reckon). Again, I think if it came to the crunch there would be enough people to stop Kim internally, ie high ranking military.

North Korea has such poor resources agriculturally that they couldn't sustain any sort of war without conquering other land.

As predicted Israel are gearing up to attack Iran during the summer months and put out of action Iran's nuclear facilities.

Already Iran;s nuclear scientists have been getting topped by secret service agents.

Israel say a lot of things to get global attention.

I'm starting to believe, within my lifetime, that internal conflict within the United States is increasingly likely due to the increasingly high levels of wealth inequality.

They could be true

(fropm his Wiki page):

"Because Titor claimed the many-worlds interpretation of quantum physics was correct, effectively meaning that his travel was from a parallel universe and that things could occur differently than he had predicted, the details he presented were unfalsifiable."

(an excuse Achile74 could do with on many occassions)

This would 'explain' the following Titor predictions (made in 2000/01) not happening (in this particular parallel dimension at least)

"CERN would discover the basis for time travel sometime around 2001, with the creation of miniature black holes about half a year after his departure."

"Civil war [in US] was not even remotely close to breaking out after the 2004 presidential election, with no further conflict in 2008"

"As a result of the many conflicts there were no official Olympics after 2004."

If the next large-scale war is a battle for primary resources, IMHO it is likely to be between China and Russia. Given that they are both, effectively, dictatorships with huge military capabilites and that China has long-standing territorial claims on resource-rich areas of Russia.

There is not going to be a war, no matter how much propaganda there is. They are just trying to increase their electricity supply before the oil runs out. They are stupid enough to start a war, and don't want one anyway. Its the west that wants one, they want the oil and the private companies want west to have stations their for their own profits.
