Ian Poulter feels proud to call Tiger Woods #2... and tweets his exchange to world #1 Lee Westwood.

So much talk about who's number 1 in the world of golf. It stinks that with the FED EX Cup and the Race to Dubai... (both playoff formats)

We still don't know who's number one for a season? Was it Jim Furyk, Kaymer, Gmac, or Mickelson? I do like Lee Westwood as a person and a player, but a major-less #1 is not possible in my realm of thought.

Anyways, here is the official FISO TOP 10 ranking.

Martin Kaymer
Graeme McDowell
Lee Westwood
Tiger Woods
Phil Mickelson
Ian Poulter
Jim Furyk
Ernie Els
Luke Donald
Fran the Man

I am all for a ranking system but my view of the current system is that it contains some serious flaws. I am completely baffled as to why last weeks Chevron and Nedbank events contribute to a players ranking given the size of the fields.

Oosthuisen finished 12th and LAST at the Nedbank and received more ranking points for that than he did for a top 20 finish in the Celtic Manor Welsh Open.

Surely invitational tournaments such as these should not be included, they only go to keep the top players in the rankings at the top.

That's why we now have the FISO WORLD RANKING :P

Soon this thread will be sticky

Once my little poll is set up correctly...
