Of all the people in the competition it's funny how I'm up against Bluenoseyparker, we only stay about 10 miles from each other.

PS I've found out that England were only against 2 Scots - naturally they came 3rd and 4th in the group.

With Hull v Chelsea off we are down to 6 for the week already (midweek 1 + weekend 5) so if one more bites the bullet then it is off.

South Korea shows his class to knock-out France. I hear that the Irish are celebrating, as if they had won the world cup.

Uruguay - Kizkiz 3 vs 6 Nigeria - GM

Nigeria are the last African team standing after playing Uruguay who only turned up for the 2nd half.

Slovenia - Goldenballs 5 vs 6 Germany - JPK100

Tight game here between Slovenia and Germany, but the auld enemy just scrape through with a 99th minute goal.

England - Murf 11 vs 6 Australia -BigJonS

Poor old Australia, against most other teams they would had made the next round. Unlucky for them that they met England who may just win this years world cup.

Cameroon -Suprised 7 vs 9 Italy - ISSACA

Italy have just started to play and here met a tough and well organised Cameroon. Luckily for Italy, Eto was not quite match fit.

Holland - Ashers1981 8 vs 3 Paraguay - Rookster

What can I say. Holland have made the next round, but then anyone would had beat Paraguay this week.

Portugal - Pa102aw 5 vs 11 Chile - Bluenoseyparker

Poor old Portugal, they have lost to Chile and Ronaldo was last seen crying in the middle of the pitch.

Brazil - DrBunker 6 vs 5 Honduras - TheTon

The ever present have done it the hard way and have beat the dark horses Honduras.

Only one of the group winners are left in this years World Cup and here we have some great matches. The stand out game has to be England vs Germany, while Chile play Brazil to ensure that there is a South American team in the semis.
