I don't think either Man Utd or Man City will walk away with it.

Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea even Liverpool are still in with a shout if they can put a run together.

Man City losing points vs WBA
and Man Utd being tonked by Blackburn show anything can happen until the end of the season.

Sunderland will be no walk over for Man City with MON in charge and Man City next match is Liverpool, with Stevie G returning and Suarez keen to sign off on a fanfare before his ban I reckon Liverpool have enough to beat Man City.

Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool still have a chance.......really? If you think so I would get down the bookies, the odds on these teams winning the league are HUGE!

I cannot see any of these teams being consistent enough to match Man City. The only thing stopping it going to one of the Manchester clubs is more/long term injuries and how much City will miss Yaya Toure (I expect Nasri to fill that void though).

January Fixtures:

City: Sunderland A, Liverpool H, Wigan A, Spurs H.

Spurs: West Brom, The Postponed game with Everton, Wolves and Wigan H + City A.

United have to play Newcastle and Arsenal away + Bolton and Stoke at home.

= City increase their lead on United, Spurs = who knows.

Liverpool play Man City, Stoke, Bolton and Wolves.

Liverpool could win all 4 matches, Utd, City and Spurs have very hard games in comparision.

How do Spurs have hard games in comparison?

First of all Spurs are 5 points clear of L'pool + one of their games this month is in hand Home against a poor Everton team.

All Spurs games are at Home apart from City. All Liverpool's games are Away apart from Stoke.

Spurs are playing the same/similar quality teams.

= Spurs will get more points and increase their lead further on Liverpool.

Because I think Spurs will get more points than Liverpool this month that means I think Spurs will win the league :?

Its a no brainer that Spurs will be ahead and probably well ahead of Liverpool by the end of this month.

I am still on City for the title, only injuries/African Nations will change that.

With a lot of fixtures, African Cup Of Nations this month who will come out on top?

There is a tight battle going on for that 4th Champions League Spot, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and even Newcastle fighting for CL football next season, all losing points regularly. Proper scrap, no chance of those lot winning the league.

Running Tally of points from top 6 clubs in JANUARY:

City: Played 2 Lost 1 Won 1 Points 3

United: Played 1 Lost 1 Points 0

Spurs: Played 1 Won 1 Points 3

Chelsea: Played 1 Won 1 Points 3

Arsenal: Played 1 Lost 1 Points 0

Liverpool: Played 1 Lost 1 Points 0

I don't think Liverpool will be getting close to the title they will be lucky to get in Europe.

14 points behind, 34 goals behind, Man City are on another level.

Man United have a tough match tonight, they will have to play very well to win. If they lose points tonight they r probably screwed for the season, they need at least one win against Newcastle or Arsenal.

Man City will walk away with the title from now on.....

Man United 2 defeats in 2 games....going to get destroyed by Man City in the FA Cup this weekend and next PL game is away to Arsenal.

Game Over.

No sure about that. I don't think that anyone has done particularly well in the Festive Season Lottery - points dropped and/or injuries to key players for all of the Top 6 clubs.

City may be in for a tough spell without Yaya Toure - particularly if Mancini fields strong teams in the cup games - and all it might take is an injury to another key player (notably Kompany or Silva) to unsettle them. Fortunately for them, thus far, City have not had the injuries to defenders and holding midfielders that have plagued all of their rivals.

From memory, Richards has been injured about 4 times, Clichy and Kolarov were both out at the same time recently and K Toure spent the first part of the season banned. I thought De Jong was injured for a while too, though I may be wrong there.

I understand injuries and yaya going to africa could affect things but as things stand i dnt see city dropping many points whereas with united i do.

if it was city going to arsenal i would strongly favor city, but its united going to arsenal and i dont have any confidence in them even though Arsenal have been very poor.

City did not deserve to lose against Sunderland, City should have scored but were a little unlucky.

Whereas United 100% deserved to lose against Blackburn and Newcastle.

I fully expect City to go to Wigan and beat them and then beat Spurs at the Etihad.

If Parker and King are fit, I think that Spurs might give them a tough game, although Adebayor's absence could be a key factor.

Fair point about City's injuries, hancock jr; although K.Toure's absence was a ban and the knocks that they've suffered have tended to be less serious than those suffered by the other top 6 clubs.
