I wanted to keep my extra wildcard until the last week possible, but with six players flagged (Yak, Ade, Jones, Shotton, Kompany & Silva), its got to be done this week, otherwise I run the risk of only having 9 players scoring.

Seems like a good time to get shot of Adebayor, especially with Spurs tricky run coming up and Bale, now looking the more likely to score big points.
I'll keep Kompany as he is not a rotation risk

Not sure about Phil Jones, maybe Johnny Evans is a better short term bet and Jones is due to fall tonight.

Nani will be replaced by Valencia to save more funds and I will upgrade Yak to Aguero.

Might bring in McLean as a cheap mid and get Lindegaard in as first keeper with Vorm moving from my first choice to sub.

Getting Gary Cahill in too before he finally realises he is not as good as he thinks he is and goes to Chelsea for less than £120K a week!

This is pretty much the advice the forum seems to be giving, so thanks and I hope I can maintain my superleague lead!

I really wanted to save mine to the final week of January but like yourself feel my hand has been forced with injury and non appearance in Sturridge, Jones, De Laet, Shotton, Ben Arfa and possibly Silva.

I was in pretty much the same situation with injured/suspended players plus a few DGW Everton players that didnt work out as i hoped for!

So i played wildcard yesterday afternoon to catch some double price risers at the minute for this purpose i have:

Richards
Skrtel
Sessegnon
Fletcher
Agbonlahor

Anyone else that could rise £0.2m this week?

Good luck with that superleague

assou-ekotto and ryan taylor (jeez) may get 2 rises (taylor more likely than AE - although his first rise was last night so might be too late). doubt richards will manage more than 0.1.

Already had Assou-Ekotto in my team but dont plan on keeping him post wildcard.

Yeah Richards is a bit of a punt but he might get alot of kompany out transfers as it is an easy switch to make price wise for anyone with only 1 free transfer this gameweek.

Just need to work out where these Demba Ba & Yakubu out transfers will go to now

Hey Ho but all these £0.1m profits count in the long run.

BAE will but I don't think anyone else will.

Got bored on my commute in this morning and triggered my WC . Looking to end up with:

Vorm, Lindegaard
Evans, Simpson, Caulker, Richards, Senderos / BAE
Bale/Gerrard, Nani/Valencia, Silva, Walters, Dyer
RVP, Aguero, Sturridge

with 0.2 left over for Richards > Kompany in a few weeks.

Really can't decide between Bale and Nani or Gerrard and Valencia with spare cash for a rainy day / upgrade Senderos to BAE. :?

I would guess with Cahill's move to Chelsea confirmed and Dyer's recent points hauls (and general cheapness) could see both of them double rise this week.

I too was hoping to hold off until next week but my hand has ben forced due to similar circumstances.

I'm not playing for 0.2 risers as i cant imagine there being any as nobody had a massive weekend (barring someone going mental tonight to trigger a flurry of transfers in).

What i am waiting for is BAE going up tonight to squeeze and extra £0.1m profit out of him. Also got Richards / Sessegnon in before their pricerises.

Likewise hand has been forced, going to get BAE and Cahill in now before any rises when was going to use it next week. Needed to get Drenthe and Donovan out after a poor DGW!

BAE and Cahill are risky IMO.

Spurs have a very tough run - i am getting shot of BAE today.

Cahill has still to play a game @ Chelsea - i personally think its wise to wait and see if he gets straight into the side and if it makes any difference to Chelsea leaking goals.

I can see why its attractive dont get me wrong, but it's jsut a risk that i dont think s worth taking.

Right my fellow football addicts i think i have final wildcard team picked. :D

I play 3-4-3 every week and have £0.4.m in the bank.

GK'S - Sorensen , Lindegaard

DEF'S - Kelly , Senderos , Evans , simpson , williamson

MID'S - Dempsey , Walters , Silva , Bale , Mcclean

FOR'S - Aguero , Rooney , Van Persie

I had Vorm from day 1 when he was £4m but just dont like Swansea's fixtures from now on great keeper tho he is.

I will use Fulham and newastle blocks alternating weeks with evans who can be changed to gary cahill if the chelsea defence improves and he is a regular starter.

I want mcclean in my team so that rules out sessegnon, mcclean will play when Walters is away from home.

The forward's will share the capt's armband depending on form and fixtures.

My main rival is a die-hard liverpool fan and will capt gerrard most weeks,if needs be i could change silva to gerrard to cancel this out but would prefer silva as he plays for a team that scores more goals.

Only 2 points ahead in my mini league rival so your opinions would be appreciated.

Wildcarded:

GK: Vorm / Sorensen
DEF: Enrique, Taylor R, Caulker, Huth, McAuley
MID: Silva, Bale, Gerrard, Sinclair, McClean
FWD: Rooney, RVP, Sturridge

Unsure whether to have Gerrard & Sturridge OR Walters & Aguero...

.

If he does play, he'll be alongside Cole and Terry. I'm sure they've played together before for England. Worth sticking him in but holding back a good auto sub - just in case

At 5.2 it doesn't seem that big a risk to me.

My current draft is looking like thus:

GK - Sorensen / Lindegaard

Def - Richards / Simpson / Caulker / Enrique / Wes Brown

MF - Sessegnon / Bale / Silva / Walters / Valencia

ST - RVP / Aguero / Sturridge

Current question marks are over Micha Richards, Wes Brown and Sturridge's fitness ut none of them (i think) are serious and should make it for this weekend. If Brown doesnt make it i will look to another Sunderland defender for the next fortnight.

Lindegaard is my risk but i think its one worth taking.

WC played, my draft:

Vorm-Krul
Taylor-Walker-Simpson-Enrique-Evans
Sinclair-Silva-McClean-Bale-Valencia
Rooney-Fletcher-Van Persie

Yes, yes I know, Rooney  Aguero would probably be better, but I have my faith in Rooney still. After all, divine intervention gave him two assists last week.

In my opinion you should wildcard at the point in which it benefits your team the most in terms of scoring points. What you should do is look at the team you will be fielding in each week where you can play the wildcard...... and pick out the week where you think you could struggle. Then obviously wildcard that week, keep your strong players such as Bale, Silva, Vorm, Van Persie and build the rest of the team using recent form & upcoming fixtures.

What you shouldn't do is sit there with a team that could evidently be improved due to injuries/tough fixtures..... and think you are a fantasy god for waiting untill the last possible moment. I can see no huge benefit in this strategy. Yes you get to see 'all the january transfers'.... but no team line-up is going to dramatically change, possibly QPR might have a few changes but how many people have QPR players...?
