I like that team.

I would think twice about dropping Walters this week as Liverpool's home form has not been great.

Is that the "unbeaten at home Liverpool, who have conceded just 8 goals in 10 home games, including home games against the two highest premiership scorers"?

SuperHans - I know you're set on your expensive bench but I think it's a dreadful idea. The issue with your bench previously wasn't that it was cheap, it was that you picked badly. You need bench players who will play, if necessary, especially if they can dovetail well together. Also if there was a time for it then it may have passed now, as the Xmas rotation fest has ended. Just my view though.

Sorry lads, didn't see the 2nd page, been on my phone and didn't notice it.

Made a few tweaked due to Kompany, think I've settled on...

Vorm, Lindergaard

Richards, Dawson, Evans, Simpson, Caulker

Gerrard, Bale, Ben Arfa, Dempsey, Sessengon

Van Persie, Rooney, Yakubu

With regards to formation, anything goes, I have gone for balance so I can rotate without fear, for example this week I'm benching Vorm, Dempsey, Sessengon and Caulker, I'm detatching myself from prices and picking players based on fixtures.

Nice mix of solids and differentials with good backups for the non-nailed-on(IMO Lindegaard and Evans being backed up by the Swansea duo). Injuries aside, your guys will play which is something I value highly in this game.

If I had the funds I would definitely do Sturridge over Yakubu, I think he will be more consistent.

Go for Ben Arfa this week at home to QPR, with Ba away he could shine, if he flops it easy enough to change down to McClean.

It's close, long term I'm going for Aguero but I can't ignore Rooney V Bolton and Bogden, next week he will become Aguero for me, Aguero should also do well against Wigan but the fact that he played midweek pushes me to Rooney this week.

Thanks mate, it is something to think about, I am tempted to change Sessengon to McClean but I'm not sure where I could use the 2m, I like the midfield and attack, defence now feels solid and really don't want to spend more on United defenders as feel they have a tricky few weeks, I still got .9 in the bank, any thoughts?

Lindergaard is not an issue because Vorm is so good so don't want to upgrade him, the only possible move is Yakubu to Sturridge.

Thanks mate, I'm hoping he slips under the radar for a few weeks but doubt it.

Immense defender in real life and cheap in the game.

I imagine you'll be benching him for quite a few games after Spurs' game vs WIGAN:
Liverpool NEWCASTLE Arsenal MAN UNITED Everton STOKE Chelsea

I don't see many CS from those, with Spurs having to score more than the opposition to win the game.

Spurs do have a decent run from GW31 though until the end:
SWANSEA Sunderland NORWICH Bolton qpr ROVERS Villa FULHAM

Which is when I think Spurs' picks will be better.

Ben arfa could really be worth a gamboool. If he fails he is easy to replace with McClean or someone. With Ba in Africa, and Ameobi injured for a long time, he could be starting regulary up front :)

Regarding Gerrard im not so sure. If Silva is injured bad it may be okay. But Gerrard havent been performing in 2 years. He just recovered and i will not be adding him untill im sure hes back fireing on all sylinders.

Regarding Rooney, i would not be toutching him right now. Rumours is hes arguing with SAF. SAF rested him alot, and im pritty sure there is something going on there. Rooney is only performing when its quiet and no noice arround him, and then he is a monster. Will not bee getting him in before he starts fireing and he is smiling ;)

Big fan of Ben Arfa myself.. Pies fan so hope to see him do well. That is Sammy Ameobi too, young matchsticks as legs.. Shola and Best to lead the front with Ben Arfa hopefully just behind.

Gerrard needs to be consistently playing not hoping for some 30 min cameo off the bench

Rooney, yeah.. love Bolton. 1 week punt or 2 then maybe Aguero when Silva is 100%? Got a feeling Rooney to go nuts this weekend.. well we've all heard that before!

Very decent run for Spurs.. Bale season keeper it is! may call on BAE after gw30 then. see a few cleanies there hopefully.

That's a fair point although Spurs are flying at the moment and defending very well, they have just as much chance of beating those teams in tight games as any.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, Spurs are playing well, but at the same time, they haven't come up against many top teams recently.

They have kept CS but against teams mostly in the bottom half... Villa, Bolton, Sunderland(prior to MON) and WBA.

I think they will win their fair share of those tough fixtures, but think they'll also concede and be winning games 2-1/3-1/3-2 etc.

It's all food for thought but not sure I'll personally be having any Spurs defenders when I WC ready for their GW24 vs Liverpool. I'll be interested again from GW31 though.

At his price he is easily rotatable, in the next 3 I fancy him for 2 clean sheets (Wolves and Wigan) then can move him out then, at the moment he's a good cheap way in to a strong defence.

Spurs also beat City at their ground 2 years ago, think it was 1-0, City without Kompany and Toure City will not batter Spurs either so that game could be tight.

Well I was on about from GW24 anyway :)

I own BAE at the moment and will keep until they've played Wigan. Then I'll be using WC so he'll probs come out.

My thoughts were more GW24 - GW30.

He will be Kompany by then for me, its a short term thing due to his suspension, I was gonna go with Lescott but watching Savic the other night convinced me that doubling up might not be wise.

Thought you were going Kompany and Richards?

Richards has looked impressive bombing down the right. I'm tempted with Kompany, Richards, Aguero and Silva missing out - but will have a re-think nearer WC as I'll no doubt change my mind after the next 3 games.

I was, then Kompany got suspended so replaced him with Lescott but got cold feet doubling up after seeing how poor Savic is, Dawson is a stop gap until he returns as I have money left over and will have more once Rooney becomes Aguero.

That's what I settled on in the end, it feels good looking at how it sets up next week knowing I won't make any transfers.
