looked at someones team in a minileague and seen Wildcard 'Active' as opposed to 'Played' or 'Available'

Not really sure that sort of information should be available ... any thoughts ??

yeah i think that is a rubbish new "feature", i honestly can't think of a reason for why they've introduced it.

Presumably they're playing it in this gameweek.

others can see if you're playing your WC, pretty sure they used to not be able to.

You could often deduce it, though, because you could see the number of transfers made by a manager and the change in their team value during a GW.

a wildcard was never included in the number of transfers made and i never take that much notice of a teams value in my minileague ... wouldn't expect it to necessarily change by that much anyway surely the funds would just be re-distributed?

That's fine, I'm just saying that I did this myself in close mini-league situations in previous seasons. First I just used to keep track of opponents likely transfers when their GW transfer number was logged as >0 and their team value changed; then I noticed that I could often spot W/C use... was very useful last season when my oppo had a W/C left close to the end of the season. But if it's not for you, no problem.

Edit: I programmed up all the calculations, of course.

An 'active' wildcard is just that, 'active'. I have made my transfers using the wildcard available in January and continue to be allowed unlimited transfers without suffering from a points deduction until the beginning of the next game week. I quite like this system as it allows for me to change my mind closer to the next window but keeps in place my preliminary changes.
